There is a New Game +.

And, yeah, there has been loads of spoilers released because it's been leaked. I've just tried to avoid the majority of them.

Are you 100% sure? Cause I've watched a 30 page thread made by the workers at Mass effect self on the official board where he asked if people wanted a New game plus. And in the end he said no, cause it was too complicated and not a simple thing to make. New game + at it self created tons of bugs in ME1, and they were gonna look for a new way to do this. You can continue after the game now as well.

So im almost sure there isn't, unless it was changed recently.

And yea he dies, or well you can choose or something I heard idk lol.

But damn 4 days left, Im buying this I think on launch. Bioshock 2 coming soon as well, Final fantasy. I still have to get 60 on this game quickly, even though it doesn't really matter that much

I can't say I'm 100% sure, to be honest. But I've relied on the Xbox forums, under Mass Effect 2, for my basic information. I've been doing that since this was properly announced, and I haven't seen anything saying otherwise.
Although, thinking about it more, they said you can continue doing missions after you complete the game (providing you don't die), so having a New Game + at the same time wouldn't hold as much use as it did in ME1.
I think I have a Dev on my Friend's List. I'll ask now.

Hm alright that's good. Im Def. For New game plus, I was sad when I read the thread but good that's awesome. I wonder how there gonna do it though since you can continue after the game unlike ME1 [well I can imagine you just go to the menu after the last mission lol]

lol 2-d o= Im prob. gonna be an adapt now that the powers look better, Vang. Was kinda boring in ME1 imo but that dash looks awesome

dude, Im playing ME1 through again just for the importing shit. I can't describe how many times I'll play an RTS with a maxed-out character, and in the sequel, he somehow loses all his powers.

how about we start posting our characters here? I'll start.

Level 60(ish) soldier
Elite gear, except for the armor, which I can't recall at the moment.
Sniper rifle= radar jammer (lvl 6?) and explosive rounds IX
assault rifle= shredder rounds and snowblind rounds (no overheating)

and that's all I can remember.

So it's out now for some, those who have it, how is it?
Still waiting until Friday, myself.

My first import will be my level 60 Soldier, 100% Paragon. 100% completion. No love interest.
Let the Rachni Queen go.
Saved Kaiden.
Kept Wrex.
Used the info on Noveria to help the undercover officer.
Saved the Council, made Captain Anderson the new Councilor.
Some other decisions considered major that I don't recall.

My 2nd playthrough will be with my level 52 Vanguard. Opposite to all of the above. Love interest being Ashley.

Anyway, it sits as joint 2nd (with the least reviews) on Metacritic, with 96. With half the reviews of GTA IV, which has 98, Bioshock, and The Orange Box (which is more than one game), both at 96 also.
I think that's ****ing incredible. Only 40 reviews, and it's up there with those titles, and no online play? Impressive.

Just picked it up, about to play. I don't think I'll be importing anything for my first playthrough, unfortunately

Let me know what you think of it, man. I'm yet to hear anything really bad about it yet.

Also, what's your GT? I'll have to add you or something

Well, they have it for PC. But I'm a 360 man. so LakE, assuming that you play the 360, what's your GT?

My GT would be Solvent x Abuse. Feel free to add me, but don't expect much from me as I'm not online often, and when I am I'm in a party with a few friends.

Also, just caught the end of it on Hour One. http://www.gametrailers.com/hour-one/mass-effect-2/
Hoping it'll be shown again later, or if I can catch it in the morning.

It's cool man. My GT is LCBeefy, but when I'm online (I have Silver) I'm either not on Gold or in a party with some school friends.

Dude, I'm either thinking of just power-leveling my character until I can play ME2 without a scratch on me or just starting a new account when I get the game. hrm..

There's a few perks to importaing a character.
Level 60 character:
Start at Level 5
8 Squad points
Paragon/Renegade filled 10% (If it was at 100%)
Credits: 150k
Palladium: 10k
Iridium: 10k
Platinum: 10k
Element Zero: 10k

For a level 50 t's scaled down, increasing a little with each level. I think you start at level 3.
