There was probably a thread like this before, but since the game is soon to be released, lets make a new one.

Release date: March 14th.

I love Pokemon. I love the series. I personally think this game will be the best, by far, in the series. Pokemon Crystal was my favorite before, but I think this will beat that, seeing as it is a new improved version of it. Post any news or whatever about it in this thread.

Oh, and the Pokewalker thing is awesome.

Pokemon Gold (And Silver/Crystal) was the best pokemon game ever.

For real.

I was always more of a Sapphire fan, myself. I actually completed it. Leaf Green was a massive disappointment though, so I'll wait until one of you guys reviews it before getting one of these ones.

i stopped liking pokemon after ruby and saphire.

Ruby and Sapphire were a big letdown, and FireRed and LeafGreen, while amusing for the nostalgia, just felt like inferior copies rather than the faithful remakes they were meant to be.

I sincerely hope HeartGold and SoulSilver live up to at least Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, as the 4th gen was a significant step back towards being good- nay, great games. Though, honestly, I doubt they'll be as good as the originals. Because, really, what ever is as good as the original?

Also. So getting SoulSilver. F*ck. Yes.

Personally, I think that this will be the best Pokemon yet. Crystal has been the best so far, so the remakes should be even better!

Anyway, this should be a good distraction until Gen 5 (which has been confirmed-yay!)

Those aren't new pokémon (except in the sense that they weren't one of the first 150). Those are barely-recognisable "improved"-graphics versions of the Gold/Silver starting pokémon. And they've become infinitely worse.
