If I magically found $1000, i'd pick up an QP, slang it, pick up an HP, slang it again, then pick up another QP, celebrate, and have an extra $2000 to spare.

A laptop definitely. Assuming it wouldn't cost exactly 1000 dollars, I'd probably buy clothes for the rest.
