I sent a private message to automaton telling him that it isn't going to go anywhere, but so long as he and zed debate it so shall I, though I really don't have any more to say.

And I replied saying I still wish to continue :)

So... continue!

I thought debates were about different opinions?
Not much of a debate if everyone had the same opinion from the start.

Yes this is true. But usual debates are people making their opinions off fact. And like what's been said, there is no "actual" term for evil.

Then that goes against anyone that argues the world is evil, because the definition varies from person to person.

I don't even believe in evil. Let's refer to it as "bad" from now on please, evil is just an extention of bad that we have no right to say whether exists or not.

Asking if humanity is evil is like asking if a feather is like......................... another feather. Although people will claim that some people are completely good, deep within all of us there is a spark telling us to do evil. For some people it's small, for others it overwhelms their entire conscious. Heck, I have to listen to large amounts of rock music and do boxing to stop myself from setting fire to houses.

You mean babble. Babel is a tower or fish.

And since it's back up here, I think it would be interesting to consider consequences of the decision. Now imagine that I have my finger on a button. If I press it, every human instantly just disintegrates. No more humanity. Should I press this button?

Now Automaton's "there's no such thing as evil" argument doesn't help us get anywhere.

It lets us establish that humanity isn't evil.

But doesn't get closer to deciding whether or not the world would be better off without it.

If the human race was extinct the world would continue as normal except animals would be free and there would be less pollution. It's not as if what we're doing now is actually damaging the world that much anyway. The only thing we're damaging is ourselves. So yes, the world would be a better place without us, but marginally so. We're only a spec on this planet, and if we were gone it would shrug us off and continue.

You see I would have continued this if it wasn't perpetually pointless.
Humanity is evil, you just can't see it.
That is all.

You best be trolling. If not: You have yet to state one valid reason for that being true. I could very well say "humanity is not evil, you just can't see it", however I don't because I wouldn't have backed up my arguments with evidence.
