Quote from GarudaIt takes around 3 or 4 body shots to kill or incapicitate an enemy, most of the time 2 headshots and maybe 1 every now and then.
For me, the most realistic game would probably have to be Darkest Hour, a modification for Red Orchestra
3-4 body shots to put someone down isn't that unrealistic. It sure depends on the weapon; a buckshot to the chest of an unarmoured enemy on close range will likely hit him off his feet right away, while something with less stopping power can very well allow him to keep going. A gunshot to the chest doesn't kill you immediately in most cases, it just creates injuries that are lethal pretty effectively, not instantly. It's a common cause of Police casualties that people still keep shooting back even after being hit several times.

That's what I am saying, even if it doesn't stop you immediately you will still die, you can't just crouch behind a rock and be fine a few seconds later. You die.

i'd probably say that the most realistic one i've played is of dragon rising, though i hated it because it was too hard for me

Certainly wasn't the case for me. I've played through it twice by myself and each time I've felt it was rather realistic for a video game.
One shot to the head was all it ever took for me, most of the time body shots would be 2 (letal body shots) the only time it took 4 shots was to any of the limbs. It also works the same way against you as it does for you. I've been killed in the campaign by one shot many times.
The game engine and the way the bullet-damage is worked out is rather inpressive.

I ****ing hate it when people complain about Halo being unrealistic. I'm fine when they are talking about how much abuse a marine can take in the game or something like that, sure, but not when they start saying shit like "You can jump like 10 feet in the air" and "you can take a whole clip from an assault rifle to the chest and not die". You ****ers do realize that the guy you play as in the halo games isn't a ****ing normal unarmored human, right? ****, it's not even a man with a bullet-proof vest on, it's a guy with all sorts of genetic and artificial enhancements, living in the 2500's, wearing a suit that costs as much as a big ****ing spaceship, that has a shield and strength enhancements that enable it to flip over a ****ing car. I don't think that jumping 10 feet is that much of a stretch.
Halo is by no means realistic, but come on, if your complaints about it's realism are of lesser quality than ones someone who actually likes the games can come up with, then you've got a problem in your head.
Red Orchestra was pretty leet.
