Now, before you call me some republican conservative undereducated ignorant stay-at-home dad without even so as going through the extensive process of reading this post, I am going to tell you that I do, indeed, smoke weed. I have for as long as I can remember, and yet I disagree with people's opinions on legalization. Why would I not push for legalization, like the rest of the stoners?

I am also a dealer. And I will assure you that most of the reasons why people push for legalization are wrong, for example how it will help the economy. To tell you the truth: It will NOT help the economy! It will hurt it. Think about it. There are over 1 million dealers in the United States alone. If marijuana was legalized, all of those people would go out of business. And don't think they could sell it to clubs, do you think they would buy some of the absolutely horrifying shit that some dealers sell today?

Dealing is a business that helps the economy in itself, even more than you would think. I've taken the liberty of drawing a diagram for you, explaining exactly this:


As you can tell from this diagram, I'm right and you're wrong.

Any opinions? I'd be glad to contradict them.

Most dealers aren't good people, and most dealers( that I know personally) don't just deal, they work another job.
Having dealers lose their jobs is no big deal, they just can work somewhere else, ie McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc.
Or deal crack, meth, heroine, other drugs...

Growers can get a license to grow and grow legally.

From the sound of your post, you seem to be all butthurt about this whole marijuana legalization thing because you're a dealer and you are going to be the one hurt about the whole thing.

Your post seems a little uneducated, and I can't help but doubt that you even sell. And you act as if that's all you sell, sounds possible, but unlikely as almost all dealers sell other stuff as well.

If marijuana would be legalized those dealers would be put out of business, which means marijuana would be commercialized, which means the government will tax the sales of it.

Those out of business growers and dealers would have to get a job to live off of, that income being taxed and sent to the government.

Now, please contradict me, since I am wrong.

I just meant it in the fact that a guy snorting coke is much more likely to shoot someone than the man smoking a few bowls.

The only bad thing that can come from marijuana is obesity.
And lung issues of course,
but the man who smokes weed doesn't smoke like the man who smokes cigs, he smokes at the most once a day, whereas the man who smokes cigarettes is smoking a pack or two at the most a day.

You wouldn't get yourself a liscense to smoke weed. huge marijuana farms would be made and produced for the company that stocks them into cartons to sell like ciggarettes. It would probably get laced with nicotine or some addictive, and possibly, a shit ton of harmful materials. It's the same for regular ciggarettes as well, unless my sources are wrong.

Nicotine is a natural substance made by tobacco plants, to kill bugs...

However it is possible to "add nicotine" to things.

We already don't have enough jobs for the people as it is, why do you think there will be enough when over 1,000,000 more people start looking for them?

It would be great for marijuana to be legal, because as already stated, it would allow the police to search for people doing worse things, and other reasons, but likely the public sellers will just douche it up with all kinds of additives and whatnot, and it wouldn't be the same.

That's your logic? There's an economic crisis so people turning to drug dealing instead of looking for a job is a good thing? You're ****ing unbelievable.

You made no attempt to refute the fact that dealers holding down jobs instead of selling drugs would be a better situation economically for the government, and also considering their time is going towards something productive while doing so. The economy is recovering and there are still job openings available.

Also the idea of crime benefiting because it'd be one less thing for police to monitor is ridiculous, there aren't crimes that are being committed because police are too busy arresting potheads. I'm sure you'd have to get a license to purchase marijuana, there would still be illicit growers/dealers, there would be an age restriction, there would still be plenty of marijuana-related crime, but that has no impact on other crimes being committed one way or another.

and im sure there are nice dealers, and im sure there are crazy evil dealers.

The dealers out here are actually all pretty normal, but most of them are just kids that buy from "real" dealers near Chicago and Peoria to sell for a profit. Most don't sell drugs heavier than shrooms and the ones that do will only do it if their dealer does, and if they already have someone lined up to buy it.

I've only met one of those "real" dealers and he was shady as ****, I can't really speak for anything else beyond that.

I agree with exilement, you're making no sense on this whatsoever. by legalizing it, that would bring marijuana producing companies into play and thus creating more jobs. and even still, that doesn't mean street vendors would become extinct. just like how sometimes you'll see kids in your school selling candy to each other even though you can buy it in a store. hell, many people will probably still turn to the streets for their weed for the reasons i've stated in the paragraph below. i mean, i'm sure you've heard of kids selling vicodin to each other in school, but that doesn't mean it's an illegal substance

the only reason i wouldn't want weed to be illegal is because the companies that would produce it would probably go and put other substances in it inorder to get users hooked to it and they could probably get away with that because i don't think the FDA regulates substances like that (unless i'm just thinking of supplements)
