Both my R.E. teachers are feminists. They either have a very skewed view of society or say they do to justify their opinions. For instance we were taught in R.E. that it's still a male-dominated world, and "studies were done that indicate women get payed 75% of what men get payed". She didn't mention that in those studies women worked 75% as much as the men worked, due to time off work, maternity leave etc. Men get payed more because they work more (in general). If you take a job, you will see that the hourly pay is exactly the same for both men and women. She also said that men own 99% of the worlds property, and women own the remaining 1%, and also that women do 65% of the worlds work, whereas men do 35%. Are those last 2 figures true? I'm struggling to believe them...

i think feminism made women who are envy to men, because they can drive a cars, plains and another ... men are made bigger part of history and modern technology.

i'd have to say that alot of women are stuck up. They think that they're better than you and they think they can do anything you do, better. One of my huge issues is that these tiny women that are like four feet tall, are going out and buying huge trucks and driving them around like they're town cars, when they have no use for them, do they live on a farm? do they have to use them for work? do they haul really heavy stuff? no, they just want to prove that they can do anything that men can. Sorry, had to get that out of my system. . .

In addition to some "feminists" wanting preferential treatment as has been stated, their cause is fundamentally skewed. The fact is, there are significant physical and psychological differences between men and women (fact, not bias) that would make treating men and women completely equal as if we are all one gender unfair to both.

It's the same with rascism, religious extremism, xenophobia, discrimination in general. Most people tend to either hate other groups, or pretend that there are no differences in the first place and hope they go away. A much better point of view would be to respectfully recognize those differences and what they mean, and take them into account without bias.

@Automaton: Those statistics sound like BS to me, but I'm not sure and I cba to check.
