Does he? He hasnt done that for any recent animations I think. Besides this thread is more about how you would rate the animation and the specifics of what you liked and disliked because I need all that info to improve.

Generally the guys who make those things don't take such an active interest in feedback, and the comments you'd get in the announcements section would be all from ten year olds who clicked the 'comment' button beneath the animation and only signed up to say "epic!!!!1!!111!21!". This thread'll probably get more the response you're after.

I think it's a much higher quality than a lot of the stuff that goes up on SP these days. It was fairly well animated and it kept me reasonably interested. It had a storyline that didn't revolve around a suicidal loner suddenly becoming immortal or something silly like that, but was just right for what this sort of thing needs. And no one had hair which is a plus.

The speech seemed a bit forced, if you know what I mean. They were professionally done, but it may have been better to go for slightly lower quality ones that fitted better. Or just much less. I think a lot of it could have been cut with no real loss.

There were a few bits of the animation that weren't fantastic. I only watched it once so I couldn't give much detail but I believe there were some physics issues on some jumps, and a lot of the movement was tweened which made it seem a bit unnatural. I understand why though, since a movie that long couldn't really be animated perfectly frame by frame. I suspect it won't be an issue for 99.5% of the people who watch it.

The music fitted nicely, as did most of the non-voice sound effects.

Overall then, it's really good and I can see you put a lot of effort into it. I enjoyed watching it. I hope you make more.

It's good.. You have a good sense of direction and choreography. And you followed your storyline well. I know I could never follow a storyline that well cause I always end up improvising, but all the different angled shots and the way it worked out kept me pretty interested. Normally rarely any stick anims interest me anymore, But this was rather good. The animation wasn't THE best but you definitely have talent. The stickmen faces also bothered me.

Wow thanks guys, this is exacty what I was looking for. Yeh I know some bits were terrible but thats only becase I started animaton just improvising. In fact the first 5 minutes of the movie was all improvised one shot after the other. If you go and look the making of the cartoon you can see how bad an animator I was at the begining of the project: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=91294

Also what bothered you about the stick faces? I actually quite liked them but if theres something to improve on them Id love to know.

I really liked it. This is how a real thief works. Killing and gunfights are the work of an Assassin. There was a minor continuity issue- his robotic eye was non-existent at least once during the animation, and the jump between the inner balconies was a little weird, but otherwise I liked it. As a non-experienced observer, I have to say that I liked the voice choice for the Thief. And I like his sense of humor. I think that you would make a lot of people happy if you made another anime using this character and setting, maybe how he got the robotic eye and/or his really cool arrows, or one where he almost gets caught. I really liked it otherwise, though! Great potential.

Two year bump....
I'll let it slide because your post is not only relevant but well thought out. Look at the date the last post was and make sure you're not bumping up a dead topic.
