I don't know about you, but I would consider it unusual for someone to want to have sex with a large pile of cash.

Money can buy happiness, would anyone be really happy broke and homeless? I think not...and I wanna meet the person that is.

Nice bump.

I strongly believe it depends primarily on the persons personality and definition of happiness.
Money cannot buy happiness in my opinion because of greed. We always want something new and something better.
Like my computer for instance. I loved it when I first got it, I was so happy, now I think it's a piece of shit and I want something newer. True happiness? No.
Money is like a band-aid, or a quick fix. It just masks the problem it doesn't make it go away. Now if I were on Bill Gates level of income I would be pretty happy considering all of the stress amongst bills and other things would vanish.

Besides, I'm the kind of guy that would rather win a girls heart forever than win the lottery.
Then again, the two main reasons for divorce are cheating and stress from money. When shit gets stressful because bills can't be paid, it causes unnecessary tension in all the wrong places.

This seems more like something that should have been posted in the man section when it was made. You cannot really debate this topic since it is an opinionated theory and isn't fact.

I don't think money can buy you happiness, but it will buy you a way out of sadness. From this I mean that living on the street without a warm place to sleep, or a guaranteed stream of food and water, money could make your life a lot less tense.

This is kind of like Maslow's Hierarchy (outdated as it may be), you need security of life to have at least one level of happiness. For many of us, money is the way for this. Yes you could build your own shelter and farm your own food, but lets be serious, we're all posting on the internet, on computers of some form. We're probably going to be outsourcing the stuff we need to other experts.

Yes. That's not only possible, but there are huge groups of people doing that right this moment. For example, the San Bushmen of Africa are largely nomadic; that is, they have literally no money, no real possessions other than maybe knives or sticks, almost no clothing for each person, and their housing is never much more than a small tent made from animal hides. Many of them die of starvation, dehydration, or disease. And yet, in these harsh conditions, they still tend to be happier on average than the typical middle class American citizen.
It appears that the relation of money to overall happiness doesn't really have to do with the amount of money you actually have, but the difference between the amount of money the different classes of people have, and where you are in that class system. In these areas of Africa and in these communities, *everyone* is poor, and so there's not such a large divisor between the economic classes of the people (if they're even noticeably distinct).

Agreed. Yet from my personal experience bouncing around from place to place without any money was...terrible. Yes this is a hard topic to debate since it is largely opinionated.

Last time I went to Walmart, they told me they didn't sell Happiness.

So I bought some video games instead, and I was happy as hell. :)

No matter how much money you have or how many stuff you bought with it, the hole within you is never filled.

So, no it can't buy happiness.

Obviously money can buy you happiness because if u had all the money u wanted, u could do whatever u wanted. If your true love is poor, give her/him money to be happy

happiness is an abstract concept it cannot be physically purchased it can only be attained indirectly through the transaction of money for things that make you happy.
