Lately in just about every game I have seen, the new versions get thrown to the curve. People seem to think their cool by respecting the originals over the new...

That's because the originals were better.
And I have played all generations, except for the Second Generation remakes, so I could know.

Well firstly I'm 16. Not as if that makes a difference.

And secondly. I played through yellow some 4-5 times. Finished Gold and Crystal aswell as Emerald and Diamond. So I don't really think age plays much of a factor here. And yes, I played yellow first some 9 years ago. So i get that nostalgic feeling too.

Besides those were the games we spent an unglodly amount of time on, of course we are going to like them better then the new ones. What's to get?

Lol. The people coming up with the pokemon are running out of ideas.

I mean seriously. What the hell is this shit:

Its just a normal bird with a mowhawk.

@Cosmo: Yeah, I pretty much loved all of the generations and cant really say I liked one better. But pokemon wise, only generation 1 and half of 2 had decently original ones.

I agree with CronosXII, he is actually seeing the clear picture here. I've played most of the Pokemon games. For some reason people act as the new Pokemon games were not by the same company as the old ones. The new Pokemon games are better then the old ones if you give them a strait comparison. It kind of like saying if you were a game designer, and you made a game 10 years ago. If you are still a game designer 10 years later and have been making games still. Would you be better or worse?

I don't have a problem with the remakes. Sure, they're nowhere near as good as the originals, because I experienced the originals as a kid and I remember that. But if somebody had never played Pokémon asked me "Should I get Silver/Gold or SS/HG?" I'd tell them to get the remakes. They're better examples of the game, because this person doesn't see the originals with any nostalgic values.
I don't like any of the Pokémon after Generation II, though. I have no problem with them adding more, but stop making them so stupid looking.

I played pokemon diamond or something and stopped playing after I completed it in one day. Pokemon's just ****ing easy to rush through now. I completed it with one ****ing CharChim or whatever the retarded ****ing monkey was called. Level 80 when I finished the campaign and explored everything.

Diamond/Pearl was pretty terrible. The fact that you could catch every Pokémon without having to do much work made it really boring. Plus, that shitty app thing on the touch screen was just stupid.

Because, y'know, pidgey was insane. I don't have any idea how they came up with that. I mean look at it, it takes a creative mastermind to pull something like this together:

Oh wait. It's a normal bird without a mowhawk.
