In general discussion because this is kind of a big deal for me

I haven't been posting my music lately, mostly because my songs have been going towards Olympik for the last few months. It's the first "real" label I've ever worked with, and my first release is going to be tomorrow on Beatport for an exclusive 2 week run. The track is a remix of TasteXperience - Spectrum, one of a few, which is going to be released as a set along with the original.

TasteXperience himself uploaded the tracks to Youtube in pretty decent quality, along with his version and all of the other remixes. Here's mine:

Uhh, I was more or less one of the first three musicians on this site, a lot of the criticism here helped me out in the beginning, and there are people here that have even donated money to support my music. One way or another this forum did a lot for my music, a good number of people here seem to like it, and this is the first song I've posted here in months. And it's also my first release through a reputable label, excuse me for side-stepping a subforum that nobody pays any attention to.

If the mods actually have a problem with it, I'll move it, but I'm pretty sure I can use my own judgement by now without your mini-modding. Thanks.

Actually he's not being a bitch, you are. He makes great music and personally, I think that his contribution to the forum is far more than enough to sidestep a rule every now and then, besides he wants to share it with us. The best way to do that is to post it where everyone is, it's showing that he is going somewhere as a musician, and that is also something he wants to share. Besides who cares he's breaking rules, he even said that it's a big deal for him, so why must you come to his thread with such a negative attitude and not even listen to it?

Great stuff as always Exilement, keep up the good work and I hope to listen to your new release when it comes out. The song in the link is really good, it sounds a lot more upbeat than some of the songs on your last album.

Why do we have a Music forum and a LOTD forum then, if people can just go ahead and post things that belong there in General? Might as well just remove all of the other forums while we're at it.
