So, I feel like learning a basically useless dead language when I go to college for no good reason except that I hate small children and have always wanted to be able to say, "Oh yeah well I speak [insert the language of high class romance from 2000-3000 years ago here]"

So I want to decide between Ancient Greek, and Latin.

Which one would you pick or think would be sexier with the ladies?

Also, which one has more interesting stuff to read? Like, greek has Plato and stuff, but Latin has EVERYTHING else. Including the bible, whooo eee.

Name everything.

Yeah, I'm currently re-going through my Teach Yourself Book in order to make sure I learned all of the concepts and the words and posting on Esperanto forums in order to get used to using the language and get help with it's use.

I'm also going to embark on reading an Esperanto translation of the Wizard of Oz pretty soon (probably after AP Tests)

I figure it will be another month or two before I'm, pretty much, fluent. I'm not giving up or starting anything new until I am :p

Awesome, how long has it taken you to become fluent? Just started, i feel as though i understand most of the grammar, it's just the vocabulary that i need to learn.

However, I can pretty much express most ideas I want with the help of a translator for a few words. So, for that stage, 2 weeks of diligent study :p
