That's sexy tention, I love that cartoony art style you an nhazul use, but I think you should make more advanced stuff, you know, more smooth shading, less cell shading. Also, you could've worked harder on a bg.

thanks ahmad. definitely could have done something with the bg. I tend to use a more traditional, blended style of shading for my physical drawings (pencil & paper). when I digitally color a drawing, I tend to use a cell shaded look most of the time. I'll think about mixing it up some more.

tention, you should really get into Paint Tool SAI.
Lots of crazy shit you could do with that.

Or you could use photoshop. More professional and has alot of special effects/ editing properties that are useful as shit. Also it's easy as hell to cell shade with photoshop.

It's more suited for FX than drawing, which is why I don't like it.
I would be all for PS if it were just putting snazzy effects on a piece, but for what tention's got going for em, I think Sai's the best choice.

It feels very similar to SAI drawing wise imo. I personally prefer Photoshop because it is more precise and revolves greatly around detail. SAI admittedly though is amazingly simple.

But as an honest and not even snob question what does SAI offer that Photoshop can't do?

mm.. Photoshop has what SAI can do, plus the additional effects. So basically, it's a much more professional and flexible program to use. [only if you get the hang of it though]

I personally use a combination of photoshop and flash. And I can tell you photoshop is a bitch to master. I only know how to paint, no effects or anything. I got my hands on sai once, but brush smoothing won't work due to me using a mouse.

I like drawing in flash due to it's vector-based line quality. never messed around much with photoshop, although I do know that it has the most potential regarding image editing software. I'd like to strike a balance between them. do a drawing/coloring in flash, and then do filters/effects in photoshop. I'm pretty sure that's what Nhaz does.

@shibu, very nice man. loved that finishing move.

Still one of the most prime example of what I'd envisioned for Clans way back in the day.
Brings a tear to my eye to this day ;'D
