What instigated this change?

The very clan itself.
We've grown abit mainstream, and the theme is abit repetitive to work with nowadays.
If what I plan for this clan goes smoothly, our change will be for the better.

It kinda makes sense basing on the fact that this clan was originally a smaller version of Zetabrand. Kinda liked it the way it is, but meh maybe this new thing will be better. (If you go through with it that is.)
