I tried. I've tried three different clients. All failures. I only manage to connect to the server a few times, then when I try to do things, I end up banning myself or getting kicked or something by the server and ending up restarting everything to make it work. I just seriously suck at it.

Edit: I also noticed we finally trimmed Off Topic down to just Poll Central. I think we could have kept Link of the Day, though, so people could post links of things that would help keep the "Linking for Self Gain" infractions down. (Not that there are a lot anyways.)

Link of the day is essentially still easily fit into GD. It was all pretty much just wasted space down there.

That was when he became chancellor, i talked to him after the weekban and he had this impression of not understanding the tenets of thread derailment. He actually assumed he was doing the right thing so its no surprise hed do it again. If it were solely me id ban him from sp 4lyf or at least till the bse is over.

Also, i didnt just weekban him on the spot at the time. I actually let his comments and sentiments pass and even let his first repetitions slide. The fact that everyone has moved on from the argument but him is what makes his behavior despicable

When I PMed him he sent me a reply stating that he was "confused" by all the restrictions mods were giving him, and seemingly implied he wasn't going to comply until he could speak to Hewitt about it. I don't understand that kind of thinking, an administrator just told you not to have anything to do with BSE for the time being... that isn't really a flexible request that Hewitt can change.

So what exactly are the chancellors supposed to be doing? Is RHGT on a hiatus or something? I'm looking through mod logs and it doesn't look like they've been doing much over the last month, and it also looks like chancellors have control over the entire RHG Clans section, which is a little worrying. Like, for example Yun and Kursura both have used their powers to edit their clan's main page, which is Camila's post, and Sharp stickied his clan's thread if only for a moment. This sorta bugs me because they're not RHG section mods, they were assigned to do specific RHGT related tasks, so using their powers outside of RHGT feels a little bit misplaced to me, especially when it has nothing to do with RHGT.

In addition to this, some people don't look like they've been doing anything at all. Stickly has absolutely no mod logs, so I'm not sure what he's been doing. Ahdo has one entry from more than a month ago. It just seems like RHGT has come to a standstill already? I'd rather not have a bunch of people with mod powers sitting around doing nothing, personally. This happened at FA and one of them ended up returning randomly to abuse their powers. I'm considering doing a sweep of inactive mods and maybe doing another big mod application thing. With chancellors specifically, because there wasn't much of a process in choosing appropriate ones, I want to "trim the fat" and make sure anyone who's not doing anything doesn't keep their powers.

He mentioned that on the BSE threads as well. What bullshit: the guy will say anything to preach his words of the wise. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the RHGT a brainchild of stone's? It started out absolutely fine with constant chatter between active chancellors and activity between clans when suddenly stone went on his honeymoon and the project slowed to a crawl. Even when he returned, it didn't exactly generate the necessary steam to get it back in the right direction again. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying it's stone's fault, but I feel that part of the problem of inactivity appears to be a problem of Directionless Pursuit and not just laziness in general. I mean, I don't know a thing about RHGs, but I take one look at the project as it is and I'm going 'Now What?' I think the stagnation (waiting for that Catalog it seems) is causing the Chancellors to be bored or inactive in general.

That's just my take on it.

Well this part I agree with completely. RHGT losing steam or not, some chancellors have definitely been doing nothing at all. And its not like they're inactive either. Ahdo is here all the time and in the IRC. He hadn't done a single thing even when the project wasn't losing steam.

I can't really say for sure because I have no idea what the future plans of RHGT is going to be, but imo as it is it doesn't really require a whole lotta people. At most, I'd be looking at 3 people; and those 3 should be able to function at minimum capacity (ie he can do it alone)

Yea I knew this would happen upon my leaving but it gave it some time for people to let the idea sink in and the idea isn't gone its just in a slump until I can get it rolling again, no worries. That would explain the chancellors inactivity on that part. The main thing is getting the catalog up and running. I'm trying the best I can to get everything in motion.

Between my stickbeard game, mania, game with ongo, ddc wave creation and participation, and bse participation when I can I'm a bit slammed day to day.

That's why I proposed sort of a world boss type of character that way people can do things with RHGT while other things are being done. If not a bad guy you could ravage the lands with barbarians and thieves. I'll be trying to do a lot hopefully when I'm done with boot and get on to my AIT. I got a very nice laptop for Christmas so I want to make some stuff but since I'm on VBL my schedule has been crazy lol.

Just curious, is anybody else experiencing... problems, with their reply boxes? Because mine is, for lack of better terms, missing everything.

It were a bunch of things actually that me me go "that's it" that post just pulled the trigger. I can see that tsang doesn't even put the effort that diserves to organise a competition like this... like... really he just "lurks around" but I bet my arm that he hasn't read the conversation we just had here about him. THAT'S what kinda pissed me off.

Okay what the fuck Rosie, Camila, Azure Kite, and any other mod who did nothing when SSS posted porn in the chat thread... do you really think that kind of content is okay? Seriously. I need to know because this is aggravating beyond belief. That was clearly a photo of fellatio, even if it was on a tablet. Porn is a strictly 0 tolerance rule, and I'm insanely shocked to see that at least 3 mods ignored it and one even said there was nothing wrong with it.

I mean, I was talking about reworking the mods earlier and this doesn't give me hope that the current mods are really on their game, so now I have to consider that not only did the mods do nothing but it wasn't even brought to the attention of global mods/admins in the bat cave.
