Welcome to StickPage!:
We're glad that you want to be a part of this community and to get started we highly suggest you to check the Official Forum Rules, and this quick Forum Guide. These will show you the basic facts that you need to know about what and where to post.
If you're intersted in the RHG world, please check out this link. Is a quick guide on what do you have to do to get your own RHG character started.
We wish you the best, hoping that you have a great time here and make some friends as well.

That's the best I can think of atm, the idea is to replace the bold words with links to those threads, also Idk if we should add something like
" If you have questions about the forum itself you may PM a mod. A mod's username has a different color than the normal user (green, violet and light-blue) "
In case that they actually have questions. Because i have no problem into answer them.

Quote from DroneTechnically it should be Raptors job, but he's not active enough to be PMing every newbie
seems more like an Azure task to me
or Devour, he needs something to do, the poor man is wasting away down there in tutorials ; (
Hey man, that's cold.
Sorry I haven't been active lately, I had a hectic week.
Tbh, if we wanted to take SP more seriously as an animating hub, the central site is in more dire need of updating then the forums. The lack of a functioning portal also hurts. I mean, from wider view, I don't see what SP can offer that HD already does at its present state.
That's just my $0.02 about Jeff's suggestion earlier. Concerning Nish and the others, most people have already said what I was thinking.

Eh, I'll take a shot at making a welcome for PMs:
"Hello there, and welcome to StickPage!
As a forum, our main goals are to build and encourage a friendly community of animators and artists! Before you begin, it'd be great if you could take a quick through the Forum Rules, to give you a basic understanding of forum etiquette. We also have a great Forum Guide for you to skim through as well!
At the top of the forums, you'll notice the StickPage News where much of the Official StickPage content, as seen on the front page, can be located. Keep an eye on this section for updates on Events, Tournaments, and Competitions!
Next is the General Section, a sort of calm hangout where discussions of all sorts can be had, as well as debates. This section contains the subforum Introduce Yourself, where we ask you make a thread so we can get to know a bit about you! The General Help section is also located here, and is a great place to look for help on different subjects, animation related or not. Do give a look around before asking for help though; you never know, somebody else may have had the same question!
Show Off is exactly what it sounds like: an area dedicated to showing off what you're made of! Be it animations, games, music or art, feel free to post what you've made (hint: you), and get or give some feedback!
Stick Empires is a section dedicated to the fans of the game of the same name, born from this site! While a bit different from the general SP Community, they're great guys and gals you should get to know, especially if you're a fellow player! There're tips, strategies and guides for each of the different clans in SE, and on occasions, even tournaments are held.
RHG is one of the bigger sections of the forum. RHG, which stands for Rock Hard Gladiator, is a section where you design your own combat character, and face off against others' RHGs in combat-based animations, a winner being decided via community vote. Build enough reputation for yourself, or find enough allies, and you can even try your hand at creating a clan, a group with a focus that work with each other to raise each others' abilities!
Tutorials is a section where tutorials for popular animation software can be found, as well as some tutorials for other programs, or even life. If you're looking for self improvements, be sure to look around through here!
Lastly, Off Topic, where Poll Central and the Trash Can can be found. If you feel like getting a community vote on some topic, be it serious or silly, look to Poll Central. The Trash Can is our local spam-repository, not typically a place of much use to normal users, but still a place of import! If you ever find your thread here, chances are, there's a reason.
If you have any questions or need any further help, then don't be afraid to ask any of our staff! We have an amazing mod team which is composed of members more than willing to help out any users, new or old. Look for the Green usernames, Pink usernames, or in serious cases or name changes, ask someone with a Bright Blue username.
Hope you have a great time becoming part of our community!"

I feel like I'm bad at this kind of thing. Too meticulous.

I mean... I didn't explain each section because there's a thread already made (the forum guide) for that....

I noted the forum guide, but explained anyways because don't fully expect anyone to read the rules and a guide. In fact, as of now, they rarely read the rules.
Also, this is why I said I'm bad at these kinds of things. >~<

you used the wrong green pink and light blue though
Mar 28, 2015 6:44 AM #1336617
Would they read the PM, if they didn't read the rules and guides?
Mar 28, 2015 7:01 AM #1336619
Jeff should code it so they can't leave the pm box until they click a link
Mar 28, 2015 7:06 AM #1336620
Nah, they're more likely to click a link to the forum guide and rules than to see a huge wall of text and read it from there. So I think is better through links
Mar 28, 2015 7:44 AM #1336628
Well they'll click the link, but would they read the wall of text on the thread?
Mar 28, 2015 8:25 AM #1336640
He has a good point
Mar 28, 2015 9:06 AM #1336643
who's he
Mar 29, 2015 6:32 AM #1337112
FBI is Mike. B& again.
Mar 29, 2015 7:01 AM #1337142
Jeez, he is a persistent bugger.
