I think you should be able to describe your RHG powers and ability in less than... 1,000 characters?. Is not about what others may or may not use in an RHG battle against him, is just that I think that is completely useless to write a book about how does your RHG work, is not the wRHG section.
You should have more animations than text in your page IMO.

I don't see how people find that appealing to want to battle someone with that much information on their character.
If you wanted Magus to summon a lot of zombies in your animation, but you apparently can't summon them unless you first make him summon a sarcophagus then that's kind of bull shit.
Plus I don't think it's right if people just pick and choose how to animate another person character for the sake of simplicity in their animation. I'm not saying you cannot make a story out of your RHG and the battles. God knows I wanted to do that, and I still might. But it's very hard for people that like to be fair and legitimate when they make a battle to have to animate all of that shit. Honestly the only text on Magus's abilities section could be that he uses dark energy and summons the dead. Other than that you don't have to go into detail explaining every aspect of your character in great length and come up with enraged modes and ascended modes and cooldown modes, because no one is going to animate that shit and it really just makes people not want to battle someone that complicated.
Like for Stone's mania, I was going to have my guy pulsate fire passively for thirty seconds while shooting fire all over the place for thirty seconds until he exploded, killing anyone in the radius of the explosion. Hewitt, you don't animate, but if you did you would know how fucking gay that would be to animate.

I dunno, I just don't see the adverse effects of excess flavor text. If anything, it filters out anyone who is serious enough to challenge you, who is willing to jump through hoops to get what they want. And it's not like it implies that you have to use everything in that RHG's arsenal, just that you can which is better on the part of the challenger because he's essentially getting a leg up in the creativity department as much as the challengee.
lolsorry if I seem to be defending writing as a useful skill. I'm not. I'd be fine with assigning a limit to how bios are written. It's just there hasn't been any complaints or difficulties caused by this loophole and in short why change something that works? You already have these constant complaints about Originality so the least flavor can do is set them apart even more.

Because honestly the whole RHG system is a fucking amazing idea with a fuck ton of potential, especially to bring more members to StickPage and the forums to animate. With some good solid rules and requirements, the RHG system can become soemthing more serious where competitions such as BSE can be based off of in an elimination type of tournament that could be used to generate revenue for the website as well as sponsor money for the participants. More money for SP the better, and the more reason for the community to be active the better. Honestly all RHG is now is a flawed system of something everyone has always had, except now we get a few subforums for it.
If you look back at the days of old when everyone used pivot and even a lot of people who used flash, everyone already had their own signature character or .stk's that they used. They had their own default colors that they would use, and they had their own default weapons and effect style they would use. All RHG has done since then has given a name to this and suggested that people should battle one another. It hasn't really come up with anything new, and it hasn't really seen it's full potential. All it's really given everyone is something fun with animating, and a few people have made full length battles to get them sponsored.
This is relevant to my point because if RHG is going to become something unique and amazing in the future, then it will need some restrictions and making an over complicated gladiator should be one of them. That's not to say you cannot go into detail about what your character does or in detail explaining their abilities, but people shouldn't, like I said, make them seem like a Heroic raid boss from WoW (as I posted an example of last page). No one is going to want to read that. I don't even read the shit. I just let someone who has done it before tell me the gist of shit to not do. The more complicated something is the harder and more intimidating it is. I could post the Paragons of the Klaxxi fight mechanics if you want to be scared :/

That's just the thing though, we DO want them to have usable RHG characters and they are suppose to limit their abilities so they all aren't just unbeatable gods. However, there is no rule about being descriptive to what abilities you do have. I would say you shouldnt have so many abilities, but being descriptive shouldn't be against the rules. I could right a 1 page essay on yoyo as well as describing him in a single sentence, which is what makes it a good character.
I think the only thing this guy is truly guilty of is being to into RHG.

Quote from replehJeff did me a great favor by banning me,this period of time(almost a year)was way more than enough for me to overcome my laziness, improve my skills, and grow up,i mean i even created a new breed of flash animations!(i might explain that if you're interested;)),the Dojo is a cool place, but StickPage remains my home:)now that i've learned the lesson, wouldn't be nice to lift the ban?
Jeff seem to be ignoring me,that's why i decided to talk to you :D
if you agree on unbanning me,my previous username is:THE RISER
I'll talk to the team and see if this can be done. I do not unlift others bans, I will try to reach out first.
PM I got with me response above. What do you think? I think its been long enough, kids make mistakes.

"[I warned you not to break any more rules on the 21st of December. I have just noticed you received another infraction on the 27th. You constantly break rules and never learn from the infractions or temp bans. You are no longer welcome on this forum.]"
That is Jeff's ban reason for him. I do remember him always breaking the rules and receiving infractions. I agree with you, I think it has been long enough he deserves a second chance. I also do believe if we are to unban him he is to be put on probation where any further rule violations will result in much harsher consequences. Which shouldn't be a problem if he actually has changed.

Yeah, from what i remember he just seemed really young and had no idea what he was doing but was all about foruming lol. I'll see what jeff thinks.

THERISER has had bouts of immaturity that, while more mellowed out at present, has committed some bizarre actions to be honest. I just wanna add that I recently permabanned an alt account of THERISER's sometime this year for misusing his talk-to-mods account. I don't remember if its repleh, but he basically decided to stroll in and start posting everywhere as he was talking with Jeff despite knowing that he shouldn't have. That was also his 2nd talk-to-mods account and not his first rodeo. I also remember banning someone a long time ago who's email was jeffsucks@yahoo.com or something and his referral was THERISER. I think that was the first talk-to-mods account.
I'm basing his behavior on the chatter about him ages ago btw. I think its at the very beginning of the Forum Bans thread when you guys were considering banning THERISER and Ahmad for being clueless foreign kids. Based on those transcripts I've inferred that his recklessness is still prevalent and while improved in terms of grammar, hasn't really changed. He's still the impulsive 2-D-like user he was in the past.
Still, I do rarely lurk the Dojo so I have seen THERISER's attitude there and I can accept that he has gotten better for the most of it. So I'm all for dat probation. After watching harvie, I don't think anyone can ever top him on the forgiveness meter.

I made a post in the RHG clans section for 'RHG Territories.' I'm taking RHG's to the next stage of development. For now, only mods / admins can view and or if you know the password.
the pass is: RHGT
Post and let me know what you think! Be sure to read it over.

I think it's a good idea. Maybe to help get people more involved you could have bi-annual prizes for whichever clan holds the most resources?
Oct 31, 2013 5:56 AM #1100229
Anything else guys? We may need more chancellors than that as well. Feel free to leave comments. I plan on releasing this tomorrow. I'll have my clan page setup and ill probably get nemesis going as well.
Lead by example, it always makes things easier for everyone along the way. They'll see that wall of text and be overwhelmed, until they realize how simple it really is.
Just like when RHG started..
.. and when clans started.

Maannn this is brilliant. Now clans will finally stop doing nothing and wait till they die, and start to actually animate as a grouo and have fun doing it. I've been thinking on new chancellors with Rosie, we'll hopefully get some new guys involved into this.
Great job stoney ♥.

Why thank you <3
Chancellors are going to have a very important job. I'll create a more defined outline of duties as well so everyone is on the same page. Very much so like we did for mods / admins in general here.

It's weird, I had this idea like 2 or 3 weeks ago based on WeiEn's idea from FA that was similar to this. I was thinking of something more like a turn based board game that also used territories except mine would have a castle or something in the center that was a goal for all clans to get to. The clan that occupied that location would be the "master clan" or something for as long as they held that spot. I was thinking of just basic rules like you can make a move once a week (or once every 3 days or something) where you could occupy and adjacent empty territory or battle a clan for an adjacent territory. Kind of like Risk but with animation.
The only thing I need to ask is that you take out the auto playing music on the map. Partially because we have a rule against auto playing music so it sort of sets the wrong precedent, partially because it's really jarring to enter a thread and be blasted with loud music, and also partially because it cased the SWF to take about 30 seconds to load for me.
