Jeez, they really do hate us. o-o I don't quite know how I feel about it. I guess a bit disappointed that that's the experience they had, and we couldn't help provide a better one for them.

Jeez, just finished reading through it. To be fair, this seems slightly before I became a mod. Still, looking at how much they hate SP and its moderators, I just feel really, really bad. I mean, I know I was in no way responsible, but it doesn't make me feel any less ashamed.

I can sympathize with some of them. Others (ex. Crylex, Yun, and a few others) not so much

To be honest I've read worse. I'm glad that some people brought the butthurt ones back into their senses.
I don't really care tho, I know I'm doing well my job and I've tried my damn hardest to be polite and nice to EVERYONE and I'll keep doing so to change that stupid mentality of some people that "all modz r meen". (Which is not even true e.e)

So, it's just been brought up by Asuq that 2 new members immediately joined in FTC. I decided to do a bit of investigating. While nathe seems to be clean, nesia has the same IP as theexceld9. Also, he mentioned that theexceld9 is who convinced him to return, and he forgot his old account. His IP doesn't match any members aside from one of theexceld9's. and I'm relatively sure he has a dynamic IP on a device. Still, the fact they share an IP and seem to know one another has me a bit suspicious. Can anybody else look more into it and verify if they're indeed different people?

Hey guys, been a while. Been busy moving into my new house.
And you have to love how they complain about "no gud memberz on sp", even though if you ask me, they are the cause of the problem by just walking away to flock to the Dojo.
Shaq, I'd keep an eye on them both. Do they post alike? Animate alike? If they're just too similar in too many aspects, feel free to drop the hammer.

I defended us in that thread, the two most vocal complainers were blatantly lying about the circumstances around their bans and the rest had no real ground to stand on either. Neither of them even attempted to defend themselves after I pointed out their bullshit.
Most of them are literal children who have no knowledge or experience with forum moderation. It's a waste of time trying to engage them directly (as I've learned the hard way) and it's an even bigger waste of energy worrying about what they think.

just wanted to bring this up
as far as I know, duplicate double-posts shouldn't be infracted, not everyone notices it when it happens to them and failing to report it doesn't make it any less of an accident.
in before someone points out this is a double post.
Quote from CamilaIt may sounds like "but if I report myself that'd be stupid lel" but no, when you report a post we get a message, and when we read it we decide if infract it or not. This way we will know that it was a legit accident, we'll fix the problem and you won't get infracted ♥.

As much as I double post in the BatCave, nobody can really say anything.
Jan 12, 2015 6:56 PM #1294431
I assume I can recognise an accidental double post by the time gap?
It's also acceptable when they want to double post to update something. I just wanted to let them know that there's a way to let us know. Not really going to infract it if it's accidental lol.

it sounded like you were saying "report your double posts so you won't get infracted", just wanted to make sure. if it's the same exact message as the one before it, then it's almost certainly an accident.

So, update on this.
After trying to determine if nesia is theexceld9 by PM'ing him to verify if he was fit for the Beginner category rather than the Intermediate, he decided to drop out of the competition altogether. Looking at his login times, he only seemed to be online to respond to my PMs, never made any thread for his entry, and pretty much didn't much post outside of the FTC thread except for an introduction thread. I won't take this to be admission of guilt, but it does bother me quite a bit. I won't dig any further into the matter, because he's likely already suspicious, but if it is theexceld9 trying to multi, at least he isn't actively using the account anymore.

Btw, are talking about proxies against the rules?
Jan 14, 2015 8:33 PM #1295375
There's no rule against it but if they're discussing ways to circumvent a ban, then yeah, that's not allowed.
