I don't think so cause it's been said twice at two different dates, but it still never happened. I'v donated money for someone to build a rocket and fly into the black hole and make it close so the earth doesn't get sucked in. I think it is a big lie and they are just trying to get money.

Maybe, it actully will happen. Well, you never know

first of.. lol a rocket?

Now, if you believe that garbage, you are uninformed. Im guessing that the people that PREDICT the world is going to end are of a certain religions but dont clearly understand the bible (or whatever holy book). I dont think the world is going to just disappear or end at the spot. but something will happen one day that will be catastrophic. Im not trying to force people to believe what i believe, but it says in the bible that the angles in heaven dont know, not even Jesus, but only God the father knows. Thats what i believe. it IS going to happen, but nobody knows WHEN. just watch out for the signs and prophecies coming true as depicted in the bible :D

Looking to the Bible to predict when the world will end cannot possibly have any positive outcomes.

And I think it's obvious that the world will eventually end, anyone who doesn't think so is dumber than a bag of rocks.

That first post made me lol. You gave money to somebody that thinks he can build a rocket to destroy a black hole and prevent the apocolypse?

Eventually the sun will swell and the resulting heat will burn the surface of the earth to a crisp.

Also, there's solar flares. The chances of one of them heading in our direction is minimal, but if it did, you're looking at the complete extinction of everything on the planet. Also, there's no way to predict this, since it'd only take 8 minutes for a solar flare to reach earth from the sun.

“We have a very long record that shows that even the strongest flares can’t blow out the atmosphere,” said Antti Pulkkinen, a research scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. “There is really no way that even the largest disruption can end the world.”

I always wonder, that when people say "the end of the world", do they mean "the end of humanity" or like "when will the world blow up/get collided with space rocks"

The end of humanity is usually what people mean by it since all life on Earth ceases to have any value when humans are taken out of the equation.

Seeing as how everyone thought the world would end at 2000, yet nothing happened, do you still think that the world might end in 2012. I mean, that's just when one or so calenders ended.

EDIT: ^ the above post, that's 2013, and that's only sixty metres, and the rest of that says itself that it won't destroy the earth.

"But if the entire asteroid is to crash into the planet, the impact will be as hard as in the Tunguska blast, which in 1908 knocked down trees over a total area of 2,150 sq km (830 sq miles) in Siberia. This is almost the size of Luxembourg."

What bothers me is that the people who posted before you didn't seem to notice the stupidity.
