You're trying to get hom and you have to find out where the bridge is to cross the river. You ask an honest man who has been going to your church his whole life and he tells you where to go. You decide to go where he tells you because you believe he wouldn't lie to you. You have faith in him. You end up walking over the edge and drowning in the river because you believed he wouldn't lie to you. The man didn't lie, he made a mistake and now he feels bad.

Which would you rather have in this situation, faith, or vision?

Edit: My point is faith is a good thing to have, but you cannot blindly choose to believe in something because that's how you were raised. You need to question your beliefs. If you live by refuting any controversial evidence to your belief then you are very stupid. If you can take all of the criticism and evidence against what you believe in, and attain enough knowledge to still convince yourself that you are correct and what you believe in is right, then you have found true faith. Their is a difference in believing in something just to believe in it, or actually fighting to believe in something. At the end of the day, you are still a better person because of it.
