also, i was wondering... what do you think is more important, characters or plot? For a long time I've thought that plot was by far, more important. But I've changed my mind, because damn good characters can make up for anything, and generally stick in my memory more, while a damn good plot will still lose my interest if I don't give a shit about the boring characters.
