I really wanted to stop watching at the point where Those really mean bullies do certain things to the innocent puppy dog just to piss lucy off, but once you get past the unnerving gore scenes

What unnerving gore scenes?

Hmmm, I'll agree with you that I didn't find anything about the gore to be unnerving but I could see why other people might find it so, while anime is littered with violence it's the type where a person can take a thousand punched and walk away with maybe a cut above their eye (an that's only there for a cool effect), making violence where people are being indiscriminately slaughtered and heads and limbs go flying a bit of a rarity. So people, young people, who have most likely watched horrendous amounts of shounen would probably find Elfen Lied a bit of a shock.

Ohhhhhhh you're talking about Mahou Shojou of the End. You should've said so sooner. I don't believe it's discontinued, it's more like the scanlators got lazy/don't have enough funds to do another scanlation. Generally, if something isn't updated for half a year, it's most likely given up on. That's sort of why I like anime better nowadays because you always know you'll be able to get your hands on them.

So I did some research, and found out that the manga's gonna be taken by Seven Seas Entertainment and published in the US, under the name Magical Girl Apocalypse (no wonder I couldn't find a wikipedia page before.) Now if this is good or bad, I don't know, since I don't know the company myself. What I do know is that Its still active, and I'll be able to continue reading it once its available on scans. This makes me happy, very happy...

Just started Ao No Exorcist (it's cool, and I'm currently at ep 3, I just started it like a few hours ago >.>), and going to stop watching Highsch-- (not gonna continue that since you guys hate it lol.) for a while. Might start The Devil is a Part timer after I finish Ao No Exorcist.

This is a good choice. I originally watched it just to kill some time and I wanted a nice show that was funny and didn't take it's self to seriously and this show nailed that. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, so be sure to let me know your thoughts on it if you do end up watching it.

My school friends have been talking about it so I'm going to watch it once I get to finish Exorcist, and sure I'll share my thoughts about it =D

I read the manga and I enjoyed it too despite its flaws. I was unaware it had an anime, so I'll be looking into that when I have more time.

No, but it's on my long list of anime to watch in the future. I haven't even seen Ghost in the Shell yet and I've only finished up to episode 20 or so in Cowboy Bebop.

I heard ghost in the shell: stand alone complex was amazing. But then again, the only episode of it I watched had a main character die by a clone of himself. so. yeah-no.

Yeah, I did thing it was rather simple, wasn't anything new and had it's fair share of cliche tropes, but they never bothered me for some reason, and it was just pure fun. It kinda adds to my 'it doesn't need to be original, it just has to be engaging' belief.

I have, but a very long time ago, like so long ago I can't really remember the ending... Despite that I hold it in pretty high regard and look forward to when I actually buy it and can re-watch it. It's OP is fucking amazing for starters, but yeah, there wasn't much I didn't like, the animation was pretty good, the colouring suited the show like a glove, the characters were pretty cool and how Pino and Iggy developed was really interesting to watch. It also gets bonus points for not only being an intellectual show but for nailing being an intellectual show, it won't leaving you scratching you head like Serial Experiments Lain, but will definitely make you think at some point.

GITS SAC is amazing. It is a shame there aren't more anime like it, it has everything. Strong female lead, check, interesting cast/team dynamic with interesting back stories and development, check, interesting antagonist, check, well done self contained episodes, check, awesome over arcing storylines, check, Production IG, check, amazing music, check, interesting/thought provoking themes, check.

Also, are you sure you were watching Ghost in the Shell? I honestly can't remember GITS having any clones, let alone clones that kill a main character... Though I can't remember for sure so I can't say your wrong, but links or it didn't happen!
Edit: You're actually right, I was racking my brain trying to figure out where in the first season this happened, turns out it's in the second. Either way that was a cool ep, what about it would make you want to nope-out?

I'm more of a manga guy. I read a few chapters and dropped it. It's kind of good, but the ecchi fanservice ruined for it.

I kinda Liked that, cuz I find weird but epic and funny how Qwasers needs to suck girl's tits to drink their milk and get powers, besides yeah is kinda Fanservice but probably the only fanservice anime/manga I loved it.
