So I finally got around to watching Edge of Tomorrow, and just like everyone said, I really enjoyed it even though the ending was kind of screwy. The director adapted the script really well considering that the source material was rather short and he changed and added a lot of things to make it appeal to a more American audience.

Yeah, Edge of Tomorrow, very well-done adaptation and it does the manga/light novel justice.

Also, and I never thought I'd say this ever about him, but Tom Cruise was a perfect fit for the role imo.

Maybe the directors of the new animation studio doesn't know much about how to bring the suspense and hype more than the old animation studio. But idk lol. I just feel it XD

i finally watched the first episode of Ore Monogatari and i have to say, the character design on the girl makes her look like an extremely brain dead moxie doll. the eyes are way too large and the detail on them makes her look alien. i don't know maybe the character designer thought it would be expressive? the last time ive seen eyes like those on an anime, it was on Chihayafuru. are they from the same studio? Is this going to be a signature just like SHAFTs head tilts? those eyes didnt seem stupidly retarded on Chihayafuru, but idk maybe because of the nature of the grill on Ore Monogatari makes her seem like this to me? her lips are also too thick, or is this another added detail to the grills of the anime?

anyways it's looking pretty fun. the stratospheric amount of face palming on the first episode alone gave me a stupid grin. and at least now the density from the mc thats probably going to ensue is going to be understandable.

i also watched the first episode of Plastic Memories and it's the second time i ever felt some strong emotions towards a little girl named "Nina". one more and i might find her on tvtropes. anyways i think ill like it. maybe it'll be one of those tearjerkers that i always love. the problem though is that i'm not really the biggest fan of sci-fi. sci-fis are kind of hard to relate in real life, and theres always going to be a "how is that even possible" or "isnt adding to humanity these sub-humans that has made life a commodity going to fundamentally change how humans interact with each other?" like, unless they explain everything that could have changed because of the technological advancements, theres always going to be something i'm wondering about and it just interferes with my immersion in the story and decreases my happy level.

but idk mabe it wont be bad.

I haven't played God Eater, but if you liked the game you'll probably like the anime, it's UFOtable, they tend to make really faithful adaptations
also the animation is almost guaranteed to be amazing
