Cause smile got rekt

That reminds me, one of the main characters of Ping Pong the animation is named Smile. Go watch it now already Smile lol

Also the animation for One-Punch Man was indeed amazing. Can't wait till they get to animating other characters.

Maybe that's where he gets the name from.

He made his name before Ping Pong was made.

Unless if he's a prophet.

anyone else seen the K: Return of Kings ep 1? I seriously hate the 3D and the fact that they recycled some of the scenes in K. Like if that's the episode that's supposed to hook me, then it successfully managed to do just the opposite.

EDIT: I haven't finished the One Punch Man episode yet but I think you know which part I'm at currently and why I took the time to pause and say how this is a disgrace.

Also I just saw the first episode of K. I don't mind the 3D. It didn't contrast to harshly to the animation imo. It wasn't perfect, and the fight scenes were marred by the lower frame rate, but for the most part the contrast is fine.

The fanservice is fucking annoying though. I don't remember S1 or the movie having this much explicit fanservice. So irritating.

EDIT: Whelp, see you in two months anyway.

been watching the first utawarerumono series seeing as the second one is airing at the moment. it's decent... there are some moments of pretty bad animation and really awkward CG, but it's otherwise entertaining.

If you mean Kyoukai no Kanata : Kako-hen
It's just a flashback story of the TV Series

Well, 95% flashback scene. and 5% mirai-hen scene (at the end of the movie)
Recommended to skip

you can read the manga if you want lol. tbh, the manga is better than the anime itself IMO

Anyway, did you guys know that Kyoto Animation just adapted Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice) ?

This year's 46th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is revealing on Wednesday that Kyoto Animation will produce the anime film adaptation of Yoshitoki Ōima's A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) manga. Additionally, the issue is revealing that Naoko Yamada (Tamako Market, Tamako Love Story, K-ON's two anime seasons and anime film) is directing the film, and Shochiku will distribute the film in Japan.

Crunchyroll describes the original manga's story:
I wish we had never met. I wish we could meet once again. A boy who can hear, Shoya Ishida, and a transfer student who can't, Shoko Nishimiya. One fateful day, the two meet, and Shoya leads the class in bullying Shoko. But before long, the class shifts its target from Shoko to Shoya. Years later, Shoya feels strongly that he must see Shoko once again.
Ōima began the manga as a one-shot in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2011, and then turned the story into a full series in the main Shonen Magazine in August 2013. Kodansha published the manga's final chapter in November 2014, and it released the seventh and final compiled volume in December. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in print in North America, and it released the third compiled volume in September. Crunchyroll released the series in English simultaneously as Kodansha published new chapters in Japan.

Eyyo skrubs what do you think of The Asterisk Wars and Rudai Kishi no Cavalry?

They seem to have a similar plotline, except Cavalry has more harem and ecchi, and Asterisk focuses more on the plot. What are your thoughts on this?

I love both. Cavalry has a tsundere princess who does not annoy me while Asterisk has a solitary princess who prefers to settle things on her own. The MC are also polar opposites, one has a scholarship, which means he's one of the top and the other is a dropout who is the lowest of the low in terms of rank but both MC are really strong in terms of fighting ability. Not much else to say but I really enjoy both. Oh and the action scene on Cavalry's 3rd episode, really good. I haven't scene much anime having such consistent good animation on the early episodes, I hope it lasts.
