I finished watching Fate/Zero (Click to Show)
Rider deserved something better than such a boring final battle. Whoopdee doo, Archer magically made Rider's reality marble crumble and they reappeared on the bridge in their original positions. The whole dramatic charge scene was totally redundant. And then, after running through a storm of swords he finally swings his weapon at Archer, only to have bullshit chains come out of nowhere like, "lol no ty" and hold Rider in place so Archer can do some cliche stabbity whatever and end his life with literally no effort. Rider got no epic scenes where he actually fought; it was just a bunch of baloney where he did things offscreen or let his army/horses do all the work. Such a badass character needs more than that ;_;
I also hadn't seen Fate/Stay Night and had no idea the chalice was corrupted, or why. Because I had no prior knowledge it seemed like a big farce to pull out the "lol the Chalice was corrupted" thing after how much buildup and bloodshed happened to reach it. I really wanted to see Saber's wish come true :'( Now that I read online the end makes sense, but man watching it for the first time I felt cheaped as fuck to get that kind of ending. Especially after I enjoyed the series so much.
