I recently got Flash CS3 and decided to mess around with it.

The result was this(thanks Stone for the sfx topic): Yeah.

What do you think? It's probably one of my best animations in my opinion. But that's only because I'm a bad animator XD

Its kinda slow, maybe take some frames out in some parts and maybe instead of making like 60 frames, could take some out and just double frame to get rid of wobbliness. The reactions are weird too, dont know what to say there. Overall, pretty decent, its not bad but there are some small points I can see in it

I personally don't mind the slowness, Godmouth has a slow style and I find his animations very attractive, maybe just focus on keeping your movement's smoother, as his limbs seem to wobble and resize. Also the feet, I'm not sure if he has a awesome ability or not but his feet suddenly get really big.

You can only get better from here, keep trying.

Yeah, I made a mistake with the feet, didnt realize that until now XD

Test for a possible upcoming RHG demo (made in 3 hours): Test... again

I think it's good that your honest about how long it took you to make the animation. I find it annoying when people say they "rushed it" why are you rushing things, you really don't need to.

Anyway, your two animations have very different styling which is fine while your still learning, try and figure your style and then focus on improving that style, keep up the good work.

the first anim is pretty wobbly and doesn't have much power in it
you can build up power by easing a lot before the punch and then doing the punch fast, then slow down again

but it is a nice anim!

Yeah, I kinda do have two different styles. the first animation's style is my Flipnote Studio style - really cartoony reactions and hits and stuff. And my other animation's style is my more realistic Flash style. Imma try to use that style more often.

Update: Added about 20 more frames to the animation, trying out some Vcam stuff and tweens...

With V-cam: "Motion" - Possible RHG Demo
Without V-cam(for those of you who like studying movements): Yeah... click this.

PS. The RHG character is the orange stick - he has the power of freezing time, he'll use it later on as I progress through the animation.

That's actually much better now that you've added to it, the animation makes more sense. Nice job.

Lol, update again!

I have terrible resizing problems, if you didn't notice it already.

I think your main issue is resizing, work on that! If you feel you wanna keep track of it. Activate the grid or draw a stickman and place green/red lines across the screen going right throgh his; feet, hips and over his head. :)

You are good at blood.. well the physics of it, its kinda unrealistic but when the blood lands and stuff its good, try not constantly updating, maybe once you have a good portion of it done then post the update.

Not just 20-30 frames by 20-30 frame updates ^_^
