Well, I've just finished my exams and am almost done with school, when I just remembered that I haven't touched my drawing tablet for quite a while. (2 months) In fact, I haven't even gone on the forums for a long time. (3 months)
So I've decided to practice animating once again, and it feels pretty weird to go back to a hobby I haven't touched for quite a long time. Yet i'm glad that I am animating again.
How about you guys?
How do you feel about coming back after a long break from animation?

I picked it up again after not animating a single thing for four years. Somehow I got a lot better, haha.

But have you ever skipped a week or two? How have you felt about animating after coming back from what you may call a "long" break? It doesn't have to be a month.

Relatively, but never a whole month.

The longest I went was 2 months because my computer finally died. And after I went back honestly wasn't rusty at all, I thought it was gonna be terrible but the animation I made actually wasn't that bad!

Lol, stopping for a year really makes you want to animate.
then when you do you have a bunch of new ideas.

I feel like animating again. Only if I can find my tablet pen.

Nostalgic. And the last few time I've gone and made an animation, it turned out as something that kinda made me proud of myself. so it feels good, man.

I never really had a long break. There is something that just keeps me motivated but I don't know what it is. the longest break I had was only a week.

early si month after coming back and i must say it feels great to be able to comeback after a break when you feel "rusty" and completely shock yourself because you now understand the concepts of movement alot better because you haven't actually been trying to work on them you've been letting it marinate in your brain. but the initial return is hard it makes you ache for your former skills but then you fin you are decent in other things and learn to cope with a new found awe for your former hobby.

I had a similar case, only I kept to angles all the time and never practiced 2D,
I decided to get back to 2D and surprisingly I got better.
As for long break animating, it feels fresh you know? That feeling of starting something new on something youve already done. Most I've been through is about 2-3 weeks so far.
