a lot of people have the problem of making smoke in flash really easy.
but you need flash 8 pro to do this.
1) use the brush tool and draw a blob in gray
2) make some holes in it by using the rubber tool
3) right now he's the tricky part make it into a graphic and go into the properties panle select filters and add blur
4) now blur it and maybe use alpha to make it a little transparnet

and your done if it doesn't work pm me!

Are you high or something? In flash 8 there is filters. You must have an earlier version of flash.

this tutorial sucks.

1- smoke can be made by making movie clips of drawn smoke with brush, then make it transparent on the main timeline
2- If you make it a graphic, you cannot add filters to it! Only Movie Clips and buttons
3- Why put holes in smoke? And where does the animating come in? Everyone here can draw smoke, it's animating it that's the hard part.
4- Grey smoke? No detail? Wow, you suck at this!
5- You go to propperties>filters>blur. Not to the properties bar.
6-I request this thread for an automatic bin. This 'tutorial' is inaccurate, and helps in no way with makeing realistic smoke.
