So, I got to thinking, the other day, as I am apt to do, about a way to simulate combat in real life, but without all of the dying and injuries. And, I'm not talking about electronic simulators, like video games. And, I don't mean paintball, either. I mean actually running around fighting people in real life, with real deadly weapons, like swords and bows and, hey, why not flamethrowers. The only problem, with this is, as I mentioned, people tend to get hurt and die, when you hit them with swords and burn them with flamethrowers. So, I was thinking, why not design a suit that can protect the wearer from all of these things, but, still make the wearer feel as if they are actually getting hit (You know, without all the pain, and suffering, and crying for your mommy.). Sort of like Iron Man or the flamethrower guy from Lethal Weapon 4.

Since, I have no idea where to even begin on designing a suit like that, so does anyone have any ideas?

Oh, also, In these death fight battle, things (I have yet to come up with a good name.), I don't think that regular guns (Like, assault rifles and hand guns) should be allowed, because it wouldn't be as much fun as hand-to-hand combat, though I guess it's a matter of preference. I would like help in deciding what weapons are allowed, and what weapons aren't.

Unless you have a Ph.d in just about every concievable field of science, physics and engineering, I wouldn't even dream about it.

There's pretty much no way to get hit by swords and flamethrowers without it hurting, though.
But I wouldn't be surprised if something like this came up, when virtual reality games get a lot more advanced.

"Suit that can protect wearer from anything but allows user to move freely."

That's what the Internet is for! But, seriously, this is just an idea, for now. I'm not about to go buying metal in bulk, anytime soon. And, Devour, This fighting would be happening in real life, like, on a field, or in an arena. I guess it's kind of like paintball fighting, only a hundred times more intense.

Also, What do you guys think about using things like flash grenades, EMPs, ultrasonic blasts, and other tactical/psychological weapons that attack the senses and/or electrical equipment.

I hope you realize that anything that could protect to such a perfect extent would have to be way too bulky to "move around freely." You'd be like a walking tank. It would just be silly.

In that case, you could substitute heavier metal in some areas. A stab vest and Kevlar, for the torso. I think the arms and legs should have at the very least, some kind of metal gauntlets and greaves. Seeing as your head and neck are very vulnerable areas, I think you would need a thick metal helmet that covers your neck, without restricting your necks movement. Under this armor, you would need a full-body flame retardant suit. These are just my ideas, so far. Feel free to give me your opinion on them, and what you think the suits should include.

M8, if something like that existed every military, para-military and private military would be all over it in about 12 seconds. It doesn't exist for a reason.

Dude you're like 12. Stop thinking about this shit.

Maybe you can think about it after you graduate university, get a Ph.d and work for the military. You simply don't have any idea what you're talking about or what's involved in the creation of something like this. There is a reason this shit doesn't exist, and that's because all the worlds geniouses combined, will all their degrees couldn't make something like this.

Yeah, no. Virtual Reality would probably be the best answer to this.
