Well, I tend to change my sig pretty frequently as my interests shift. I found this one while lurking the interwebs and thought it was pretty sexy, so here, its my sig now.
Image This was my previous sig that i made myself in flash. I dont really think it matters if you have a self made sig or a random gif sig as long as it tells something about you or what you like. As most of the sigs here do.

One's of Stone's signatures I really enjoyed was the "Ruthless Admin" one he used back when I joined in 2009. One of my favorites I've seen in my days at FA/SP.

Yeah no one cares about sigs anymore.. it's just not worth the effort and people don't care as much.

You guys should stop smoking, cigs are bad for you! lol, no but seriously...
maybe the decline in signatures of what might be considered interesting to you is due to
nothing really new happening in our world today I guess. Well, at least nothing major. There's
been fewer internet memes, viral videos, and world wars in our generation, and the production rate of
art work is often heavily influenced by the ever changing terms of which the world abides by. Art is used to
convey something, whether it be political criticism, or praise of a new era in music industry....maybe I took
this a little too deep, but thats just my explanation

NOW EVERYBODY LOOK AT MY NEW SIG! I'VE MADE MY VERY OWN CLAN BY MYSELF AND WE'RE RECRUITING

Because there were so many internet memes during ww1 and ww2. C'mon. If you talk about our generation, we got plenty of stuff to make art about, it's the information age.

It's the people who've changed, if anything...

That too, I feel today's society has been conditioned into a lulled indifference to their surroundings.

Lol half the people are advertising their own signatures, lmfao

I mean, this forum nowadays mainly made up of a bunch of people who aren't really artists outside of animation. Art, for a lot of the users on this forum, is a stickfigure standing in an odd pose with a bunch of swirling filters and a few shadows blurred here and there. Not that it's not cool in its own right, but it doesn't really hold up against other stuff I guess. Also, most people on this forum use Flash 8 for their endeavors, which has limited options, and they're not really aware of other stuff outside of it and what it allows you to do.

I mean, that's my opinion.

You should look at my deviant art! it has a lot of my digital renderings that are out side the realms of stick figures and flash!(further self-advertisement trolololol)

Nowadays? You've been here for a few months after coming over from FA, kind of weird to see you typecast the entire community like this as if you've known anything else.

Back in the day we had really good artists. The influx of "art" threads containing little more than a stick figure wearing a scarf mostly started when FA merged here, from what I can tell. We had godly signature artists like ln3uq and tiddlywinks a few years ago, Nicol3 was really well known for her art, zmobie even posted high-quality photography from time to time.

Before the merge I don't think I've ever seen anyone here with stick figures in their avatar or signature, and now it's commonplace. Kind of sucks, but I don't expect much of anything else considering this forum is built around stick figures.

What you said is reiterating the point that I was trying to make, so thank you.

Back when I was on Darkdemon, having photoshopped sigs of high quality was commonplace, since everyone there didn't really on the animation program they uses (Pivot) to make their artwork.

EDIT: Nowadays is referring to after the merge, so you're aware.

Sorry, I keep forgetting that the FA guys are talking about their own community from their own separate forum when they say stuff like that. I agree with your point, I think I just took it as a personal attack on SP.
