For the FA crowd and anyone else unfamiliar with them, the SP Forum Awards were an idea I came up with almost 5 years ago for an annual "award ceremony", where we could nominate and vote for our favorite members in various categories.

Typically this was done at the end of the year, but starting this year I'm going to run it bi-annually. Usually by December no one remembers much from the first half of the year anyway, so this way events from January-April don't get completely ignored.

Anyone have any ideas for other categories they'd like to see? Maybe more animation/RHG categories, or something?

I was thinking about to make something in poll central called "Top Ten Most Badass Weapons" featuring RHG's with kickass weps...
But I guess I could run this idea through here...

There used to be negative categories but I got rid of them, figured it just drew attention to shitty parts of the forum. Unless anyone else thinks we should bring them back?

Best animator would easily go to terkoiz.
the man has done damn near everything.
maybe a focus on clans "Most active clan, Best clan, best fan favorite clan"
and probably some honorable mentions.

Most active member isn't a really 'votable' thing, I would think. Wouldn't that just be the person who's posted the most?

Well whoever has the most posts per day is the most active member.

not really though because it would have to be within the past year. That would only work if they joined a year ago or less, both going by posts and posts per day. It would have to be a vote.

I suppose it could also be something like most valuable active poster, i.e. someone that contributes a lot. Meh, idk, just a thought.
