Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite. I think you can tell someone's age by which final fantasy they preferred. For a lot of people who were born after 1993-ish, their first game was FF7, and it will always be the best in their mind because of the memories and shit they have playing it. If you play it again now I can almost guarantee you wont recapture that, and the game wont be as good to you. I love Final Fantasy 6 because it's genuinely one of the best of the series. The art is amazing, the plot in enthralling, the characters are plentiful and well written, the game play is well thought out and there was so much you could do and see. It is the height of 2D RPGs in many regards, and I encourage any one to actually sit down and play it through.

I have a question, Why the "Final Fantasy V: The Spirits Within" doesn't really match the other sword fights?

Your point is kinda false on a few points 1. I know Final Fantasy 7-8 cause of Kingdom Hearts Cloud and Leon were awesome to me so I looked walkthroughs of the games, watch the movies and was deep into the gamplay and story. Since I was young I picked up FFX play it alot each time I beat never gets old cause theres so much left or what you wanna do better. If I were to get my hands on FF7 and 8 I would love em but if they made a remake well I would play it to the point the disk would explode. FF1-10 all seem to have the same battle system with a little changes nothing to major.

overall, I'm a huge FF fan. a fan of all of them. I don't think I would outright condemn a single game in the series (except maybe FF14...that game was a disgrace.) I've played, own, and beaten a majority of the main games in the series. My favorites are FF4, FF7 (btw I'm pretty sure I'm older than you jeff, age has nothing to do with the never-ending debate between 6 & 7), FF10, FF12, Crisis Core, and the Dissidias. 13 had huge flaws but I actually enjoyed it for the most part. It's not my favorite, but I felt it got way more flack than it deserved. I'm currently playing through 13-2 actually.

Only Final Fantasy 7 but it was awesome... I really love the realistic epic battle scene on FFVII AC and the epic story of how the SOLDIER Zack sacrificed his own life just to save others, a heroic bravery. Of all the characters, I love Cloud more. Since he has an awesome sword, he has alot of friends, and I admire how he treat others well, I love Zack but he died, and now Cloud is reliving Zack's legacy so hm. Why not. :D

P.S. Just my opinion. *Sorry for bad english? :D

First of all, you only really gave me one point? Second, it doesn't really prove me wrong. I said "a lot of people" not "all people", so if it doesn't apply to you, that's fine. Doesn't make what I said wrong. Kingdom Hearts isn't a final fantasy game, so Final Fantasy 7 would have been your first FF game. So, wait... why am I wrong again? Finally, you have clearly never played FF1-10. The battles system is very different in each. They follow the same basic principal, but for example, FF6 was the first game to use Active Time Battle, before then it was traditional turn-based.

Lol, from what I've observed, it does. I never said it applies to every one, but guaranteed FF7 is most liked by children, and people who were children when the game was released. This is also because it was the first 3D Final Fantasy and a lot of younger people denounce older 2D games because they are spoiled by today's graphics. Also cloud is a whiny emo-faggot bitch and I refuse to believe anyone who isn't retarded or a child would like that poorly thought out character. I'd like FF7 a lot more if in the HD remake they replaced Cloud with a giant pizza pocket that just wants to find out who microwaved the life into it, and then replaced Yufi with a trained seal that does tricks for materia.

And also made the colors reeeeaaaallly vibrant with lots of rainbows and instead of fighting each other to death sephiroth challenged the world to a lord of the dance competition and the pizza pocket has to come to terms with the fact that it's a pizza pocket and will never amount to anything more than being delicious, and probably wont be able to defeat sephiroth because it lacks legs

I actually see a lot of FF6 cosplayers when I go to a yearly anime con. Last May I saw a really well done Kefka, dude was fucking nuts. I pretty much agree with what you said, however I cannot agree that Cloud wasn't 'emo'. He's always been brooding, angsty and generally unpleasant in my eyes. Maybe it's just my perception of him, but a lot of what he says is just over-dramatic and unnecessary. In the beginning when he doesn't really know jack shit about himself, he's fine. I think after Aeris dies and he goes into a wheelchair he just fucking sucks as a character. He whines about everything and acts like a fucking idiot to all his friends. I mean, he says such gems like, "If this is all a dream, don't wake me up." and "See. I knew I'd be no help." and "Looks like I'm always going to be facing crises all my life..."

He trails off a lot, and I just can't help but read that as mono-tone depression. He's like this in every other fucking FF7-related thing ever, which I also hate because I want FF6 to finally get some attention and get remade in 3D or something, but instead SE loves fucking milking the FF7 cash-cow over and over and over.

My favorite Final Fantasy is 9.

Its kinda similar to the underratedness of 6, since I believe 9 is so much better then the other 3-D titles but its always the FF people have skipped or havn't mentioned. I have yet to play 6 though even knowing its probably the best version. Might be too late to fully enjoy it now tho \: Also yea, my FF7 disk had a glitch or there was something with the disk so I could never finish it before I finished 9. If I had Finished 7 at that time though, I'm pretty sure that would have been my favorite. Then spoilers came xD Also finished 8 really late

Fav Chars: I can't remember atm tbh lol. But ill go with Zidane and Vivi anyways.

9 is fucking awesome, but it suffers from the same problem that 6 did in that it was the last game for that generation of consoles, so most people overlook it. :(

Yea thats probably it. I also remember reading that people didn't like the big heads? or the cartoony direction they went in. I guess it was less Emo and a little more colorful and humor filled lol. I had actually tried replaying all the other ones including 9 a bit ago and I still preferred that version. I just love Zidane and the chars lol.

I did check out some FF boards a few months ago and I do recall people suddenly praising 9 like it was the new cool thing, so that's cool lol. The PSP games were a good bit of fun as well. Nice seeing the 3-d versions of all the chars

there are two types of FF fans that I generally try to avoid.
1.FF7 fanboys/girls who have only played that and fail to see that there are other excellent games in the series.
2.FF6 fanboys/girls who constantly bash 7 like it's the worst game ever made.

I had a wall-o-text typed out describing how I felt about each game in the series...but I decided not to post it for fear of boring everyone ; )

There's also the FF zealot who thinks they know more than everyone else about the series and that they are the authority on the matter. I don't like them either. ;)
