Just for the record i agree with most of the stuff said in this thread regarding maturity. I was honestly suprised to see how many situations from other people related to my own , on the other hand i dont see myself as a "mature" person and i'm not really concerned on what defines it. Time will pass and i will hope to be a more mature person than i was yesterday. I used to dwell on this subject on my own alot but it seems a waste of time trying to pretend your a completely different person just to attempt to be acknowledged as a "mature" person.
I dont really post here often for that very same reason ironically. I'm not disagreeing with the fact that posts can show what kind of person you are online more that i dont enjoy people constantly critizing my views on something and then making a novel about why i'm wrong and how. I much prefer IRC for the same reason that coversations are alot less tense. I've probably made some flaws on my statement but this thread is one of the few that i dont mind being corrected on, after all there's more than one answer in a debate.

I'd say you should be at least 17 to join this forum, considering that as it stands this forum doesn't really seem like a place for 13- 16 year old animators, fans, or general younger forum go-ers...

These days it's run by more older (notice I didn't throw around the word "mature") members who talk about either adult shit or say things inappropriate for us "teenagers"...

I happen to know a 9-year old who is extremely mature online and is actually quite nice to talk to. However, nobody treats him as a 9-year-old, they treat him as simply a mature person.

Age really doesn't matter. Maturity is what really gets you respect.

I think it should be a minimum age of eleven. Next year a minimum age of twelve. Then thirteen. And so on.
