Also, MPEG and the like will work fine, look at the help section in youtube or some shit, dont just yell at us.

Most likely you're using Windows Movie Maker. If that is so, just click Publish>To my Computer. It will convert a copy into a different filetype. Upload the result. If you're not using Windows Movie Maker... I don't know.
