Yeah I agree, never used one myself so I couldn't really say. I'm just pointing out that thus far, for me, the general perception of macs isn't that they're "reliable" or anything, at least no more so than PC's.

Quote from walker90234You do realise you can do NOTHING on an iPad?
WOOT! Its small shiny and portable! Who cares?
What happens when you need to give a powerpoint presentation and all you have is a crappy tablet? Oh, or write up your homework? Or, I dunno, do a basic thing such as download a document from the internet? Or access flash player? Or use ANY program not present in the very very very very very very very very small appstore?
You'll need a PC (or Mac). iPads are crap. Nothing but a very big iPod touch.
dude.you have NO taste in anything.all you do is go in the internet and say "oh an iPad?what`s that?maybe i should ask my mommy..."and after you ask your mom,and she says she didnt like it,you type in you dont like it because you have no taste and ask your mom if the thing is good and you follow your mom`s taste and you live in her basement.

Third ban, epicwarlord, its about time. I lose IQ every time I read one of your posts.
Walker is right. Its a big iPod touch, basically, only six hundred dollars more.

I like mac better for a number of reasons, one being that the mac I work on and animate and am typing on right now, ect. Is like 7 years old, and still works perfectly. Plus, I have never even heard of a virus for mac. There are, what, about 2,000,000 virus and pranks, (and counting) for pc?

how deep into your ass did you have to dig to get that number
Sep 30, 2012 2:19 AM #748612
Excuse me? That was really rude. and I bet your going to reply with another smart comment. And actually, I treat my electronics well.

whether or not it was rude doesn't change the fact that you pulled that number out of your ass.
anyway, i recently came up with an analogy that i feel compares mac and pc fairly well.
pcs are like manual cars; you can do more with them, they can go faster, etc, and macs are more like automatics. easier to use but you have less control. which you want to use is a matter of preference.
having said that, if you can drive a manual you are qualified to drive an automatic, but not the other way around

God help your soul if you get a virus on a Mac :/
"Every Mac comes with service and support that’s consistently voted the best in the business. If you have a problem in the first year of owning your new Mac, you can take it to an Apple Retail Store to get it fixed or figured out. And if you purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan, you extend your service and support to up to three years from the date of your Mac purchase. The Apple Retail Store also offers One to One, which provides training on your Mac. One to One costs $99 for a full year and is available only when you buy a new Mac from the Apple Retail Store or Apple Online Store."
I prefer knowing how to fix my computer when I run into problems and replace or fix the hardware when there are issues rather than having to pay money for something very simple.
I like Scarecrows analogy.
I will never in my life own a Mac, or attempt to repair someone's Mac.

Is it bad that I accept that macs are overpriced and you get less control over them, but I REALLY want a MacBook? Just something about the design of them and also the design of OSX makes me really want one.

well, they're designed to make you really want them, they're apple.

Lol, hard to argue with that. Apple are known for this kind of stuff. Half of their popularity is all about the design.

Guess I'm just weak-willed then, haha.

I understand the feeling. It's mostly because it's foreign to you, and you desire a change up for the norm. I remember watching my friends use their Wiis when they were new, and I had strong urges to get one. Now that I've owned one for a good long time, I can tell you that it doesn't live up to the expectations you set for yourself when you hype it up in your head. This same thing happened for me with Macs. It also happened to my mom, who figured it would help her with her photography business, but she hated it so much she went back to windows.

Mac is better because more people have Mac why else would all the people have got Mac if it wasn't the best?
