If there's a Mac, there will be a PC better than it (faster, easier to use and all that junk) and most likely cheaper. But like Jeff said it all comes down to what you prefer using, if you prefer using the Mac's interface then get a Mac. If you prefer to use PC's interface, then get a PC. You can argue all day over which one you PREFER to use but when it comes down to the logical side of it PC wins every time hands down.
As a technology geek, I really agree with Jeff. The reason Macs are generally used over PC's in the media industry is because of the convenience of it.Those things might be $2700 bucks, but most people dont want to waste their time custom building a Windows computer equal to it,when they can just sit on their fat asses and buy a Mac that's strong enough to fit their needs. Sure Macs are barely compatible with anything, but they sure get the job done. I learned every single part to a computer, and if you want a Windows computer stronger than a Mac, Jesus Christ the bills you will get from Amazon or New-egg will make you file for Church service help. Even though I generally prefer windows, I would rather animate on a Mac because also, they usually come with a fat ass monitor and beast keyboard-all together. You dont have to scavenging online websites for a 16 GB RAM module for a cheap ass price. Its already there!I understand this is in the debate forum, but there is not that much to debate about. I mean, its not like you will switch somebody else's standpoint on the matter. Its basically preference, so I think this thread needs to be binned.(that's just what I think, dont turn this into that Mikematic thing)
