Lag, despite sometimes being very slow, is usually consistent. If you find there's an x milisecond delay then you learn to cast your G kiting that x miliseconds before it would be needed. You need to learn to pressure, once you do that you don't have to deal with mass ninjas or mass giants unless you mess up really badly. Losing consistently to a 1800 tactic should make you aware that it's better than yours and you should adopt it.

I don't fail at kiting because of milliseconds of lag.
I fail at it when I click Garrison and they Fight to the Death

Show me successful immediate pressure with Swords and Archers against their CA start

I'm wondering if, as a consortium, we should use this suggestion thread and then sift through it all to find productive ones, then make a thread featuring a brief summary. That way devs can quickly find useful suggestions (perhaps in priority order) as well."

I agree with this^

I think the EvC matchup would be a bit more possible (and less broken) for ele is if the cycloids tornado actually hits eclipsors, tornado has such a odd hitbox on air units even when they are flying in the tornado it still doesn't hit and maybe make the tornado speed faster so its a better tool for chasing.

I can explain that one to you.
Rusher = A
CAer = B

Assume medium map, OvO. It works similarly on others but with different starts.
A buys a miner and an archer
B either rushes CA or buys a sword
--A rushes in at B with an archer and a sword to follow
Either B has a CA and A retreats before anything dies or A gets forced to make a CA because 1 sword can't handle a sword and archer
--Now that B has spent 300 gold on a CA and drastically limited their eco A spams out miners because they don't need units, as when fighting over the centre B is 300+ gold behind and won't catch up in units to fight them.
--A rushes in with a spear and a few archers
Either---B loses to the constant pressure that a shiedled spear can hold on their base or loses so much potential gold they could have mined A can afford to keep suiciding spears to force a garrison because A is the only one making money
OR---B rushed a wall and A moves archers into position to snipe out enemy second gold line or enemy wall if the wall is protecting it.
----A can now rush in like before and siege win or if B has a wall protecting only the first set of gold then A spams more miners and enjoys doubled income compared to B. A wins either way.

Can we please put a lobby chat. There's 100+ players on SE, but it means NOTHING when there's no interaction. If you're going to make a multiplayer game, make it interactive. If the game gains people, you can make seperate chats (#Lobby1, #Lobby2), max of 150 peeps in each or something)

Chats need admins and moderation though, neither I think is that easy to add to the game without using staff.

They could just ask for players to mod for them though. Or make bots.

Yeah, it's probably possible to do.

I honestly think with some light moderation and control features (ignore player and censored obscenities to name a few), this would be a great thing.

i think that the Marowkia needs a third spell as he is never used in high-level game play.
When you use him his repear ability is quite useless as unless the opponent is in full retreat it is hard to reap and kill a valuable unit you could probably kill an archidon thou. and his hell fists is ok. Also he runs out of spells to quickly you might execute a reaper than a hell fists and your out for like 20secounds and your are just a useless target. I would be fine if he had a 100 gold increase a pop increase and if the third ability was a researchable one.
I would like to see something like a poison spray or a triple bomber spawn

Every, single, spell caster runs out of spells quickly apart from Magikill...

What...Marrowkai are amazing. Literally, a marrow spam is nearly unbeatable. If you have several, it's hard to run out of spells. Note that 2 marrows can almost continuously reap a unit, essentially putting it out of action entirely. Hell fists, when spammed, will destroy their army if they don't retreat, and if they do retreat and dodge the fists, you can reap some units to pick them off one by one.

Lobby chat +1

On another note, marrowkai is fine. Triple bomber spawn is ridiculous when you spawn it on top of archers, and poison spray, eww. One of magikill's best spells going onto an already strong spellcaster?

So I've just got a few suggestions that I think might help the game, and some ideas that I think would be awesome if implemented.

Mechanics
These are just things that I've noticed about the interface. To be honest, I've written code but never an RTS engine, so if any of these are really tough to implement and it just kind of sucks because you'd have to rewrite classes A, B, and C and refactor functions F, G, and H, I get it.

1) Minimap panning. One feature I thought was cool going into SE was that when you pan the map, the camera doesn't just jump to the location. Rather, it sort of eases into it. Which looks awesome when you're trying the game out, but when you're trying to play efficiently... I don't know. I find it difficult to be able to jump between managing my base and my army when I have to wait for the camera to scoot over there, and a lot harder to quickly pull back wounded units while the camera is still moving. I'd suggest just making this feature a toggleable bell/whistle: so for example, if you have it disabled and click somewhere on the minimap, it'll just instantly jump there.

2) Onmousedown upgrades. I think many people on the TZ IRC have heard me rant about this one, and rolled their eyes and told me to stop complaining. Okay, I'll admit this one's a little trivial, but it, like eased map panning, sort of makes doing things in the game a little less efficient. Basically, the upgrades for each tech building (Barracks, Mage Guild, etc) show up on mouse up (after you release the left mouse button) instead of on mouse down (right when you press the left mouse button down). In addition, if you move the mouse too far before you release, it'll open up the wrong building, wasting a lot of precious time (especially if you're trying to macro while managing a battle).

Cool features
These are just things that I think would be really cool to see in the game. Probably not useful, just fun to see. :D

1) Map hotkeys. Basically just hotkeys that, when pressed, allow you to jump to any preset part of the map.
2) Hotkeyed upgrades. I know blast, poison spray, and e-wall are bound to Q, W, E. Along a similar line, what if, for example, you could research rage by clicking on the Barracks, then pressing Q?

Also +1 to Lobby if it could be decently moderated. Seems like a solid idea, and might help fix the issue with all the mysterious alts showing up all the time as they'll have to talk in the lobby. (Those 8-year-olds though... QQ'ing everywhere)
