Pressing the enter key posts your message normally. I think comments just need to be rejected if they contain more than 1 enter key character.

Jokes aside, that must be annoying as eff, especially if you're trying to respond to someone, but u forgot what they said, so you decided to scroll up, only to have a big block of nothing stop you. >>
Also I think this is a really long spam of the spacebar, not the "Enter" key, since it would send a reply.

CJ/Brock should make a function where players cannot enter 10 or more of the same characters simultaneously in a single chat, say the same message for the next 5 seconds, and type past like no more than 200 characters.

Oh gosh no, that would be too overkill. You're going to say 11 es in 140 characters far too many times.
There's already a character limit for messages
Also, users can type enters in an external program and paste them into their ingame chat, so they don't have to use spaces (and the char limit wouldn't let them do so much wiping anyway with just space)

As for same message, sometimes you need to say 'yes' twice or 'ok' or even use smiley faces twice in a short space of time to respond to people. Perhaps a block on repeating a message 3 times would be good, but I think allowing mods to police what is and isn't spam would work much better.

just filter enter keys out the same way they filter swear words. Maybe without the @#$% though. turning enter keys into spaces gets rid of the problem very easily.

(and skeleton its even easier than that. pressing enter in the middle of the message opposed to the end of it doesnt send it to the chat I think.)

I will tell you how people spam with the enter key:

The enter key is considered one character, so this is why so much space is 'erased.'

If this is the case then it wouldn't make any sense at all.

Well when se is taking too long to find a match for me, I just switch to another tab and occasionally switch back to see if I have a match. When I came the other day it said that my opponent timed out(because I didnt select an empire). I looked at my rating and saw it had dropped by 20+ points for no reason. And how am I supposed to answer the question " how " ? I am asking for it to be fixed. It could be some other bug, but I think its related to what I just said.

Do you have any pic evidence?
