You can't just say 'this dude said he saw a ghost so they must be real'. That's not how it works.

It is, for the same reasons the science behind "proving" creationism is bullshit. while I accept that historical evidence exists for some biblical stories, they are still largely fictionalized and most have no basis on reality. there are people who seek to prove the earth is only 6,000 years old as described in this book, and those sort of people are who I'm referring to. the ones who begin with an absurd conclusion and pretend there's anything scientific about working backwards from there.
