4day. *Deep breath* You smell that? Smells good doesn't it. Some of you might remember that fabled time once a year where we celebrate one of our favorite animators, on his birthday, in an all-day all-out stick film festival. This day has wrapped its way back around once again for our third annual 4day 2012!
Events!
September 30th is full of activities and site events. On top of releasing 4, what are sure to be memorial instant classics, we also will have various site activities that will be going on. I will be hosting the event on livestream for the entire event, and yes that does include nearly 24 hours or non-stop streaming action. So buckle up, gather your energy drinks and microwavable treats because you need not basque in the sun on this day of stick figure deliciousness.
I will be;
- animating
- chatting it up on skype with some of your favorite animators
- Playing some LoL in a 4day SP tourny where the crowd decides the MVP of the tourny. With skins as prizes!
- Posting the animations at the scheduled times. TBA
- Reviewing and going over the animations after their release + more!
- Going over past 4 days and reviewing the animations that were released those years.
I will be updating this thread throughout the event to collect the data of this day, the events that transpired and more.

2010

- First time FA had merch with the posters that were made. Sold all 50 of them, all signed.

Winners of the LOL tournament!
- Bammans team with Chowdered and lagant. Bamman won the MVP of his team and received (or will be) a skin.
- 2nd Place went to StevieXD's team along with coolisushi and kyrole. Kyrole was voted MVP for doing really well with singed with such little experience playing the game.
First animation was 'LuccassBode' memeorial which was actually released a little earlier than expected. We wanted to release this animation first to show dedication to our fallen brother and dedicate this 4day to him. Luccas won last years 4day animation competition with 'disbalanced.' He will be missed!
Next up we had DDC2 released at noon. This was a bit late on release at about 12:30 or so. The difficulties with DDC2 from the get go was just the sheer size of the file. Usually we like to have an animated vcam for it, but the file was so large it was nearly impossible to edit + export. After about 3-5 people attempting - jom finally got it to export for us just in the nick of time.
At 3pm we released ComeBack Collab 3. The long awaited collab lives! Many had that it had slipped into oblivion, but we just saved it for our precious 4day :P Many were very excited to see cbc3 and we got to see some animations from those who have since stopped animating.
For our evening presentation at 7pm we had 'FLLFLL vs PULSE.' This really shocked people with phils different style of animation. Loads of fx, cinematics and some truly beautiful backgrounds and plot development in this one. However, alfa had lost his arm in this battle. Whats to come from that? How will he continue? Robotic arm? Will it just grow back? Who knows..
Finally we wrapped up the day with our Final Fantasy Last Mages. Due to some technical difficulties this was released an hour later than the original 10pm, so at 11pm the world got to see the amazing entry from terkoiz for the GTL stickpage competition. He really thought it fitting to wrap up 4day 2012 with a sure instant classic.

RUSHED 4 is a 24 hour event held by the big man himself, terkoiz. He will be animating a full 24 hours along with many other top animators in an all-out animation test of endurance and speed. Become a part of this event for 4day!

====4day RUSHED news===
This year's rushed was extremely successful. We had roughly 80 entries for rushed along with a group of 12 users who have entered the 'Hall of salty men' (in other words, they made it the full 24 hours!!) This animation will be compiled by terkoiz and released within the next couple of weeks. Sure to be a crowd pleasure and was a total blast for everyone involved.
Livestream Music Selection?
I'd like to hear from you guys what you'd like to hear. Hit me up with some good bands and ill play them on my pandora during the streaming.
For music, we really didn't focus as much as we thought we would on. There was so many other site stuff going on we really didn't even have music playing for most of the day. The majority of the livestream sounds was coming from the skype chat with all the users apart of RUSHED 4 and general 4day festivities.
