(ಠ_ಠ) People do the same thing in pivot, none of them are original except My transformer character and my some dude that can shoot fire out of his tophat, then someone took my transformer idea and so i deleted my transformer it made me so angry. I felt like killing him. So i created an RHG character that is a sorcerer, fk it I dont care for originality anymore, im gonna sick with my RHG for a bit, then ill create a new one and it'll be original.

Its because kids these days can't be bothered to do shit. They just want want to become popular.

Grim the only reason we use that is because many of the RHG's are human.Unless you want them to be super human, demons and shit, which you hate.I get your point but unoriginal things are needed to be said,so "human weaknesses" stays (unless your a demon or something).

But just saying "human weaknesses. that's it" would lead me to believe I could stab or shoot him once and he'd die. That's what happens to normal humans right? I'd just like to see a few extra details added. For example if an rhg who is a human fights with an ordinary kitchen knife, then put "long range fighting" or "guns" next to "human weaknesses"

I have an RHG (or had... I still haven't updated it for Stickpage...) that uses a fountain pen which turns into a sword. I'd like to say that it's actually my own original idea without influence from other animators.

That would be Percy Jackson, lol :)

Sometimes I feel like it might have been easier to be original when no RHGs ideas had really even existed...(during the start of RHG)
in a way it's like right now everything's been done already. Or maybe that's just me

You are missing a few things i'll make a little list

-Can make there body into anything (A little less common but, is rising in numbers.)

-Tentacles >:(

-Elemental powers

-Scythes

I could go on kids see one thing and copy but hey the new generation is a bunch of
bad ass kids that scream "Swag" and "Yolo" I have lost hope in humanity.Reminds me of a "Phrase Monkey see Monkey do.".

Tentacle rhgs aren't really that common anymore I think.

I've had some interesting ideas that utilize none of these tropes. Creativity!

I think I'm one of the only one's with an RHG that summons/manifests other life forms (Other than cloning), and I think the second to have exorcism abilities (Save for shadowkirby).
Gotten rid of my sword months ago because I realized the trend with them.
Was also one of the first RHG to have a sash, that may become a trend as quik predicts...*Looks at Sarari*

Pheeewwww theeen I think mine is original. It does has fire power, but it's because my fans creates energy, and releases it as a fire/explosion/pulse :D

I remember an RHG, with a cool/badass weapon, if I remember correctly his name was Alcaline, it had like a bracelet with little rectangles caming out from there, and they could like... Expand depending on the force you apply to the hit, was pretty cool :D

The usage of scythes is like, the epitome of anime influence. Try using something like that in real life and you will get creamed. It is extremely inefficient; requiring you hook the person's head/body in the inner curve of blades, handles like a spear, and is cumbersome in hindsight (sizes appearing in rhg's are either improbable or light in weight). Scythes only became weapons historically in WWI I think when Polish peasant farmers had nothing else on them save for pitchforks and other farming implements.

And Death only uses them to reap and sow. Not fight. Why do that when he can just touch you? XD

idk if anyone has ever played dante's inferno but that's a more practical use of a scythe. Kamas seem like they would be effective in reality too if it were double bladed and you shaped the point of the blade similar to Akali's from LoL. Actually now that I think about it wouldn't even a regular scythe be more effective if it were double edged? Then you wouldn't have to get the target in the inner curve.

I like how you use the word 'practical' for a fictional depiction. There is a reason why scythes were never used in real life save for the aforementioned farmers (which in turn became a stereotype for village mobs...see RE4 for example). Even if the blade could cut on the outer layer, it would still be impractical to say a sword because a scythe is essentially a polearm/spear weapon. Polearms are designed for range and with a curved blade like that, it's counter-intuitive. Furthermore, scythes typically come with handles placed in unique positions of the shaft. Because of its heavy nature, it needs to be held a certain way; a way that does not exude further range.

And btw, the scythes you see that look like axes that give you the bonus of cutting something in half if struck are just modern depictions. No such designs existed in real life as it was really made for reaping crops. There is however, such a thing as a War Scythe but it's not what you think. Google it and you'll see what I mean. They basically eradicated the weaknesses I mentioned in the first paragraph, and turned it into a straight up spear.

lol I actually looked it up after your first post. It's a glorified spear. I took it out of my post though. And I see what you mean. Also I know those designs don't exist in real life that's why I said if. And when I said practical I was talking about if it for some reason did exist, that it would be more effective than a regular scythe for all the reasons you've already listed. But at least they're nice to look at.

Super speed is also one of those powers you tack on 'cuz blur effects are easy to animate and whatever. You don't see many big guys that are slow but powerful for some reason - I guess kids here like them speedy bastards.

Just to be clear, I made Lash, an RHG with a whip. It stretches as long as he wants, and he can rage with flames. I thought of this long before when I was still on Fluidanims just sayin.....
