It doesn't really help that, in order to win the battle, you have to defeat the other person. Whenever you watch an RHG, you automatically know the animator's character is going to win, which kind of sucks the suspense out of it.

Well that's because that must be like that.... Mayor not sooo "robotic" and bored but the hero must win, the hero must have difficults to defeat his opponent, and so on

But how come it can't just be a toe to toe fight, where the one that lands the first hit, is a fatal hit?
Or a fight where the antagonist is just completely obliterate. No struggle to win.
Or have the enemy start the pwning first?
And the hero can win, but something nice like, a win by luck.
Or at least some different ways to end the fight, rather than, a finishing blow and blacks out the screen in an instant.

quickfeet vs specter was rape. Antagonist was getting destroyed 95% of it, and I looooved it. Doesn't have to fit anime theme to be entertaining.

Swords are used over and over again. Because of how inventive you can get with them. In my opinion RHG's can be as similar as they want to be. but only with the fact that they have to have one thing or multiple things implied making them unique!

For instance:
My RHG is Neptune, he has a sword (generic weapon) but the thing that sets his weapon apart is the fact that it can compress energy and release them in any way Neptune feels. So it makes the weapon unique and original in its own way... like Its not just a sword with fire or anything.

All RHG's and creators are open to so many possibilites. and it seems like the center themselves with the two most simple repetitive RHG's on earth "Fire and sword"
or the emo dark power with scythe, >:O NOVA1DUKE WAS THE ONLY GUY COOL ENOUGH TO PULL THE "DARK SCYTHE" THING OFF!!!
And yes Loopy, Your RHG is the best.
