That's a really good strategy, and I may have seen it before. One time, this guy was sending his troops in waves. His first was a Spearton, his second was the same spearton, and his third was a giant (all evenly spaced in time).

The most common strategy I've seen is an extremely mass invested in miners followed by several maxed out giants and monks (like Heavy and Medic). I can never seem to produce gold fast enough even if I invest entirely in miners. Would you happen to know any possible reason why?

These commonly happen to me as well. It could be either they are incredibly fast or you not doing your best. But, with the spacing of speartons, they could possibly be evening out their workers or having 1 on gold and 1 on mana at the beginning. To work this, you would either have to have two of your workers mine and start building one soldier. Then, you would send him out immediately and work from there. This way, the other side will have trouble gain gold with that soldier in the way.

You might not want to wait to get a lot of miners before getting a few swordswrath out, as they may cap the tower and use tower spawn, which will set you back a lot.
And as for the sending two units to the enemy to frustrate them, be smart about it. Don't make two swordswrath just to send them to the enemy and get killed. It won't do that much damage, they'll die quickly, and would be much more useful sticking in your army. You can get some archidons and use flame arrow to harrass from a distance, but generally attacking with weak melee units hurts you more than it hurts them.

Though what can hurt them at the beginning? Surely they may have one spearton or have several swordswraths of their own, but at least you make some distraction. Distraction is always useful.

Having no units early game, would get you decimated. Absolutely destroyed.

Almost everyone in the game seems to be making their first swordwraths now on the games I play. I'll be creating a new strategy here later.

Yet the amount of time to actually get those guys up and going is VERY high. This is why you need distractions so you can gain minerals and start making. Without the distractions, the strike from the opponent is very high and you'd loose the game. [ Unless you are lucky enough, which is very slim. ]

Added a new strategy. Will be changed if things don't work out in gameplay.

I like this strategy, especially because I for one play Starcraft a lot.

What is do is I have the first 2 miners mine the closer rocks and then build an archer and a swordwrath. I send them out to half point to get the extra money from the tower and then I check up on the other team, depending on how many units and what kind they have I either start getting more miners and have at least 2 for upgrades (like miner rush) or I get more defense for the mid-tower. ( if opposing team is attacking for the tower too)
You should also get the tower spawn upgrade because at the 2nd level with the giant growth upgrade you can have x3 sized giants spawning every 20(ish) seconds attacking the other base.
Then I get a bunch of upgrades and revert all my miners to mining, and kill the person with fire arrows, speartons, and x3 sized giants.

Im not that good but ive got tips from 'rummaker' if you know him, I've also gotten a little better and my w to lose ratio is 28/32

Its important to react to what the other team is doing, I've been able to win against chaos empires pretty easily because of this, the fact that bots have entered the game is also a factor to look out for, they react to everything you do and I actually had a game once where the bot had the exact same amount of units and was doing the same thing, but I won :P

Never knew they had bots. :o And all this that I do is without upgrades or tower spawn or anything. My W/L ratio is 5/0 so far. :I

Sure, distractions are useful in certain situations :D
Just not as useful, seeing as this game is pretty much 2d
