View Profile I will be doing short little pieces of strategies(Under 1 minute, maybe 1:30). THESE ARE NOT FOOLPROOF AND THEY WILL NOT ENSURE YOU A WIN.
Red = Hard.
Orange = Medium.
Green = Easy.
This, is the Quick Spearton strategy.
- With your two starting miners, place them both on the statue...Get 50 mana, SPEARTON! Now, place the miners on the gold, and continue with your game.(This also works with Chaos) With this, you should be good until the 2:30 minute mark(depending on your opponent)?
This, is the Mass Economy strategy.
- Well, pretty straight forward. Place 450 into miners. Now, you're probably thinking "But Tec! If he attacks, I'll have no defense!" That's where you're wrong. This strategy requires a lot of control. If he attacks with a single Swordwrath, have a single miner attack him, but a second one close. When the first miner is close to death, quickly switch him out with the second. Place the weak miner, back on gold, and bring ANOTHER miner close the now attacking miner. If he attacks with an archer, estimate until your miners have a collective total of 300 gold inside their...mine-bags, and research a castle archer.
This, is the Safe Bet strategy.
- Very simple. Get a castle archer and one miner. Not that complicated. :P
This, is the Annoying Start strategy.
- A Swordwrath and an Archidon. Attack. Simple. Also, don't let your Archidon die.
This, is the Archidon's Gambit strategy.
- This one, is mine. One Archidon, one miner. Easy to control, hard to counter. Tip: If your opponent rushing with "Annoying Start," an easy way to get out of that, with your Archidon alive, is to "stutter step" (run, pull bow back, stop, repeat) until you reach your miners. Chances are, they will just have A-moved or pressed the attack command, so it will target the miners. Don't stop mining that gold, because if done right, you should be able to kill both, the Archidon and Swordwrath, before he kills your miner. (If your miner is close to death, but your opponent's Archidon is weaker than yours, then let your Archidon take a few hits)
This is the Double Trouble strategy.
- It's not very scary, and is countered by most of the strategies here. Two Swordwrath's, One miner. Use the Swordwrath's as a defensive tool, not offensive.
This is the Last Defense strategy.
- One Swordwrath, two miners. Use the Swordwrath as a defensive tool. Only let him die if you're close to your first 300 gold (the original two miners).
This is the "6-pool" strategy.
- I call it the 6-pool, because both attack early while you're supposed to be mining up. Build 3 swordwrath & attack when they are done.
This is the Sneaky, But Late Bastard strategy.
- Put both miners on the statue, and get 150. Get a Ninja, then try to get the first upgrade as fast as you can.
That's all you get. Now scram.

View Profile These are good strategies :) and they mostly revolve around the beginning. Because after all, beginning of matches is always the most important.
just one thing, the mass economy won't work good against annoying start strategy...since miners won't be able to hit archidons.

That's why it's rated hard.

View Profile I don't understand the "6-pool" strategy............ In the time to build 3 miners, they could get 1 spearton, or 1 archidon and a sword wrath........WTF I DON'T GET IT. AND 6 pool can't beat a spearton....

View Profile Using safe bet the quick spearton takes forever to die, since the castle archers are bad against armored units.
6-pool is suicide against a spearton.

Actually, 3 swordwrath will (or should) kill a spearton.
Edit: Whoops. I put miners instead of swordwrath.

ok. Well I used the quick spearton strategy, my opponent got 3 swords and almost killed my spearton but I sent him back to garrison. His problem was he kept getting swordwraths, so I blew them all up with a magikill. XD
So if you're smart I guess 6-pool will work against a spearton. Thanks.

View Profile I use the "Last Defence" almost every game. Rushing can be held off pretty easily if you know what you're doing.
and by any chance do you play stacraft 2?

Depends on what you are used to.
And which one do you use?
....

View Profile OHHH you mean you use it! I thought it was the one you were most proud of or something. Sorry. :o
You know that they decreased the health of the miner, right? I wouldn't waste a couple miners to kill two units.
Plus, I'm curious about your last strategy. Does it work well against the annoying start strategy?
One last question: Am I annoying you? :rolleyes:
