I also remember doing a bunch of push-ups as a kid after watching Goku train in the space pod thing under 100x gravity. I also think that was the reason I signed up for karate when I was younger: I was secretly hoping they'd teach me how to shoot lasers.

I was disappointed.

I remember that! Only it was infuriating watching him work out on the space ship for several episodes while little Gohan and Krillin got their asses handed to them while he eating muffins in space lmfao.
