And fails generally, if some one attacks with swordswrath and archidon, they'll kill you miners and you'll loose from there forward.

old but rarely used.

And by attacking with Swordswrath and archidon i'm assuming you mean when they charge with them, the spearton will already be made before they come to the miners. and 1 spearton could take out both.

and i know for a fact not alot of people hide a unit in the corner to avoid getting damaged by castle archers.... atleast people with a rating 1600 and lower

I did use this strategy often, but as the rise of more aggresive (and nooby) players rose, I was worried I'd get spammed via swordwrath before I could possibly get the spearton that far.

yeah, i used this exact strategy and failed...from then on i never create spearton first. i also learn from the guy defeat me how to beat the spearton early rush...lol i beat the guy with either 3 sword wrath or 2 with 1 archidon (with the recent miners damage increase, i even beat he spearton with 3-4 miners and 1 swordwrath) and i have more than enough troops to kill the miners.

Okay, actually though. Don't use this strategy, cause it won't work past 1500. A good start would be for example AM on a medium map (Archer/Miner), because it gives you a solid army and an economy to build upon.

After 2 long years, someone still finds this strategy "useful".
