Let me explain this in a way you might actually understand, if you chose to instead of purposefully misunderstanding for the purpose of being a dick wheel.

A cattle rancher has 300 head of cattle. The cattle are his livelihood, where he derives his comforts and necessities from. Does he "care" about the herd? In a subjective sense, because his livelihood depends on them. But objectively? He sends cattle to be fucking butchered every year to pay his rent, etc etc. The rancher is the government, we are the cattle. Get it?
