I kind of like No. 1, just because of the unique ways you could animate something like that. Want to animate swords? Have your guy equip a samurai helmet. Need some gun practice? Don an Army helmet. The list goes on, and because of all those possibilities I doubt you'd get bored animating him.

If number 1 is wearing the appropriate hat, he could become numbers 2 or 3. And although number 1 seems ridiculous, it's an idea unlike any one I've seen here. I just want the character to be versatile, able to be many different fighters, or have multiple styles of weapons. And for weapons, I would love to see improvised weapons, like kitchen knives or falling refrigerators. I like the idea of number 4 but I just don't want to make a serious RHG, I want him to be more or less, something that makes you laugh when you watch him fight.

Hmmm...you're right, number one COULD be any of the other three. Why not do that for a compromise?
Marching Band Hat: 2
Hardhat: 3
A rock: 4?

Also, where's he going to get his hats from in the middle of battle? He's got to come in at least somewhat prepared.

I'm not sure, I thought he might just have one per battle, but that seems a little lame. Maybe he could keep on in his pocket and pull it out when his first hat either isn't doing the job, or he loses the current hat.

I'm thinking of maybe his vehicle is a clothing rack filled with hat hooks, and his weapon is a suitcase for a faster deployment. His ultimate attack would be his infamous TOWER OF HATS, or something along that sort. Or he prefers to fight in the city with a big wallet to quickly buy a couple of hats while his opponent is distracted with something else? Hmmm...

Seems a little too complex. I want him to remain simple. And if he uses too many hats, I'll run out of ideas for hats and have to re-use them. I don't want to reuse my hats much.

Maybe two-three hats a battle, with reuses here and there? Also, the question of how he's going to hold them is still unanswered, because it just doesn't seem like he should be holding them in his hand, since they could be easily destroyed there.

Pull them out of his ass like how cartoon characters can somehow have anything in their back pockets. Or I thought if he wore a backpack during all his fights he could hold 2 in the backpack and have one on. I like the idea of a backpacked character! And yeah some hats would make reappearances.

Well, if you can do three of the most popular ones at once with just one character, get on with the animation! I'd really like to see this idea in action, have him use improvised hats as well (A random rock for number four, fire hydrant for fire hose, fedora for old-timey black/white/grey tommy gun, headband of wires for a taser, origami hat for a giant paper swan that can attack, etc.)

Ha, problem is I'm nowhere near ready to begin the animating. School and college shit take up all my time, so you may have to wait until December to see anything. Not to mention I can't afford flash. So the best I could do is pivot, which is embarrassing. This was just to get primary idea building done with so I'm ready once I can get flash and learn to use it properly. Sorry, bro
