Restart your computer. Does the taskbar go back to being transparent? If yes, then Flash 8 isn't properly shutting itself down, and your computer isn't reverting back to it's normal desktop composition mode.

If no, right click on your desktop, and go to Personalize:

Then click on Window Color:

And make sure Enable Transparency is checked.

The task bar changes due to some minor incompatibilities of your OS with Macromedia Flash. Once you close Flash 8, your task bar should rebuild itself automatically. If it does not, try to look at the properties of your task bar or reload your computer.

Edit - nevermind, Jeff has just said it all.

Okay, next go to your Start Menu, and search for "problems with transparency"

Run "Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects". You should get this window:

Make sure you click advanced and make sure "Apply repairs automatically" is checked. This should fix any issues that come from Desktop Window Manager not being enabled, which can happen by accident when doing a lot of switching (like opening Flash 8).

This happened to me, but i was just okay with it because my computer said , that only Windows 7 basic display could support Flash8, because Flash8 is too old of a program
But for some reason when i tried what jeff said, it found the problem but it didn't fix it. What do i do?
