Starting game I usually cap middle while i have miners mine, but a shadowwrath often comes by and takes middle while at the same time deterring me from doing anything, whats a good counter to someone starting with shadowraths early-mid game?

Just zig zag your spearton or swordwrath when chasing archidon to evade the archidon's arrows and remember, when the archidon shoots again, it will slow down his speed and at last he will get caught.

The another suggestion is train shadowrath to chase archidon quickly, also zig zag to maintain your health.

I've tried zigzagging but I still get hit by the arrows. The idea of ninjas is useful since I generally dont use those, thanks! any more tips?

get an archidon

BUMP Recycling post, archidons dont trouble me as much but shadowraths are getting to be a bit of a thorn, any ideas?

Swordwraths and archidons. or Spearton and meric or albowtross.

React fast to evade archidon's arrows MUST BE FAST.

Okay defeating shadows.... ALOT OF WAYS
1: a lot of archers with fire arrow ability
2: 1 or more giants
3: a lot of swordwraiths with rage
4: using shadowwrath with ability because your enemy might not upgrade and cloak then assianate them or just use alot of them
5: magikills with all upgrades
6: allbowtrosess (shadows cant even touch them) to finish shadow faster upgrade allbowtross.
7: ALOOOOOOT of monks
8: a lot of Speartons, use upgrade to both block and push back...
9:upgrade of ghosts :L


ALOT OF WAYS TO DEFEAT THEM but the best is 2..
Also number 9 is the second important because the ghost weakness the shadow and keeps spawning..

I think the best way is swordwraths tactic
Because they are cheap, you can prepare many of them and ninjas are good in duel but not dealing with large numbers of enemies

Speartons are cheap and can defend themselves easily. Or, build up hoards of swordwrath (this should already stop him, buddy system = a safe system) but still have a weak but invaluable unit like a Meric or Magikill that the enemy can't resist, and the second the Ninja comes out of Shainobi, have all your swordwrath rage (they should be able to catch up)

no offense but this is easy to counter if you act fast enough and typically youll know before the shadowwrath comes that the other player has researched it.. you can tell if you dont go to the middle and the game seems to be going fine and the opponet does nothing or if the opponet accidently crosses into your visible range on the map.

its easy to counter simply as soon as you know or think a shadowWrath has been reshearched simply make two to three archers and a couple swordwrath or a couple ninja

anyone that starts with a shadowwrath early in the game isnt very smart it takes a while to make and essentailly for it to be effective you must have researched it. otherwise it can simply be countered with a spearton and a archer

For Number 1: What if there were two Shadowrath? You realize Archidons get killed by Level one Shinobi?
For Number 2: The Shadowrath can survive enough shots from a Giant and escape in time. Even if there were three Giants.
For Number 3: Swordwrath with Rage? Good, actually.
For Number 4: Fight fire with fire... Not very good. 50:50 chance of winning.
For Number 5: Nope. That won't work. They can just send in one Shadowrath to assassinate the Magikill.
For Number 6: Shadowrath are too fast. The Albowtross won't be able to deal much damage while the Shadowrath escape.
For Number 7: Nope. Merics get killed easily by Shadowrath.
For Number 8: Not necessarily. You'll still have to deal with that poison.
For Number 9: The Shadowrath can walk past the Ghost, assassinate the one who's guarding the middle tower, and pretty much ensure the Ghost won't respawn.

Usually, I'm the one getting my opponent to rage because of my Shadowrath, but when they do the same, I go on an offensive strategy and attack, immediately. Usually works.
